Wow not expected. The Cowboys have coverage issues as it is with those safeties. _________________

let me be the first to say. %^@$%^@!# I am one ticked off guy. I couldnt believe what I heard, when I found out that Glenn was cut. He is a solid nickel guy and good veteran for our young secondary. IMO we will regret this move. The only reason I can think of the cut is for a salary cap move, he was to count 1.2 mil against the cap. _________________

That's a possibility, but that isn't a big cap figure for a good nickel back. If that were the case, my question would be who are you freeing cap space up to sign? Jerry Jones isn't exactly known as a a penny pincher, especially when he can smell a Super Bowl, so if it's just to save some money it strikes me as uncharacteristic. _________________

Wow, there have been alot of shcoking cuts this season. This is arguably one of the most shocking. I agree with the move to put Gramatica on IR and give Folk a chance. _________________

I'm shocked, to say the least. I thought that Glenn was doing decent in camp, and he looked alright in the Denver/Dallas game. Where do you guys think he ends up now?
I think it's a gutdy move by Dallas, seems like they really hope Newman is healthy, but a torn planta fascia isn't comforable but it won't keep him out any games, hopefully. _________________

Didn't see this coming... I'm pretty shocked at this.
Good luck to him though. |

After the whole Newman injury this didn't seem likely at all. Glenn is a good veteran nickel CB, and if Terrence Newman misses any games or even has to sit out series at times, who's going to take his place now? If they had a promising young guy behind him I'd understand this, but Glenn was basically it. Now if Henry or Newman miss any time the Dallas secondary is in a lot of trouble. _________________

I seriously can not believe this. Our corner situation is already spotty to begin with. Our depth is incredibly shallow. Then there is the fact that Newman has injured foot that might or might not affect the rest of his season. There is no way I can justify this to myself. He was a good nickel corner for decent salary and only a bunch of young, inexperienced guys behind him.
Who'll take Glenn's place then? Brown, Reeves, and Jones. I don't have faith in any of those guys to do a solid job at nickel this season. Glenn was also a good vet influence for all these young guys. I am seriously dumbfounded. _________________

Surprising move, but they must really like one of the young CB's because their aren't any good CB's on the waiver wire, and even if there are I would think the Cowboys wouldn't get a shot at them because of the system used to decide who gets to sign a player first. _________________

This might come back to hunt the Cowboys, because of Newman is not fully healthy yet to start the season. I wounder if he isnt ready for the season opener, who will start with Henry?? _________________

Definately shocking. Their secondary is already a big question mark. Now they make themselves thinner at corner? McNabb is gonna thrash that secondary _________________
