Now that we have agreed on Moss' work ethic last year let me counter a point you made.
Moss had bad numbers because he played on a poor offense.
Andre Johnson played on a poor offense and posted great numbers.
Elite talent will find a way to make plays. I still think Moss can be a good player but I don't think there is any chance of him being elite again.
As soon as something doesn't go his way look out for the old selfish Moss to come out. He didn't change as a person just because he has a new name endorsing his paycheck. He'll behave as long as he gets his way and then he'll go into one of his antics and talk about how he'd play better if he was happier. He was nothing but a marketing ploy in Oakland to sell jerseys. He isn't nearly as hyped in New England and I'm sure it's eating at his ego inside. Maybe he'll step it up, but my bet would be on him having an average season by WR standards. _________________

I hope not, that would just be dumb by the pats, lose a forth round pick and let the team that traded him have him back.....
By the way "da_bearz" congrats on your next post...1000 _________________ it's week 3 and The Lions are already getting me excited about who our #1 draft choice will be in 09!! |

Well so far, Randy Moss is having a great game and making me look a bit bad for doubting his abilities. Lets see if he keeps it up throughout the year. _________________

And to think, Randy Moss was almost cut... _________________

Yes. You and 85% of the people on this forum. Yet you're still doubting him. What leads you to believe he's not going to play well all year? Sure he won't have 180 yards every game. But what on EARTH makes you think he's not going to be thrashing secondaries all season.
This isn't Aaron Brooks or Kerry Collins throwing the ball. WHY people can't see that, is beyond me.
Everyone will eat their words, because Moss is on a mission to prove that he's still one of the best receivers in the game today. _________________

Hey, if the Patriots decide to cut Moss loose, I wonder if he will catch on with another team. _________________ "22 players are involved in every football play. To value precisely the activity of one of them, it is first necessary to account for the actions of the other 21" |

I think Randy might have earned himself a little job security this afternoon. _________________

Give him 3 more solid games and I'll believe he was 100% dogging it in Oakland and had no desire to work hard and make that team better. I like Randy, he makes me laugh. But I've seen big games from a WR before only to be phased out of the offense.
He plays at half the level he played at today though and the Patriots offense has improved by a significant leap over last year. _________________

Moss for a 4th rounder is absolutely not fair... The rich get richer. Its gonna be real tough for someone to bring down the Pats this year... _________________

I heard that the Packers are going to get Moss. He wants to play with Brett Favre. _________________

He hasn't practiced all summer. He's becoming a distraction. He'll get cut.
Babbling idiots for believing that he'd get cut. |
