After a solid TC and preseason, Young has leaped into the #2 position on the Broncos depth chart, pulling the proverbial "Mike Bell" and now the man which this is named for is in dange of making the cut.

Hmm....I like Selvin, and I have since the draft, I think he could be a good back for us, and if he does pan out, that would eliminate a RB as a future need. _________________

I've liked him since before the draft.
He was underrated at Texas and I think he could have a very nice pro career. _________________

Young has impressed me, but I'm not convinced of him being better than Bell. Remember that he did his damage against 2nd and 3rd string D's, and that Bell has produced in meaningful games. I do like Young though and definitely want them to hang onto him, just not at the expense of Bell.
If it were up to me, I'd keep both Young and Bell on the active roster like this:
1. Henry
2. Bell
3. Young
Cecil Sapp goes back to FB, Andre Hall gets signed to the PS, and either Kyle Johnson or Paul Smith gets cut (the better ST player will stay). |

I agree, I was a little shocked that he fell so far (went undrafted if memory serves well). I wish the best for him, and in Denver's system he'll do good if he gets the chance. _________________

Selvin was horrible in college, why would he do anything in the NFL?
He is purely backup material. |

Wow, is all I can say. So he was bad in college, I guess he has no shot at pro career. Terrell Davis was pretty bad in college, I think he was on the track to be a HOFer. He'll be good in Denver's system. _________________

That's pretty much how it goes. He couldn't even beat out Charles for the starter position at Texas. |

Denver just plugs in one bum after another... I can only imagine what Henry will do in that system... and for my fantasy team
These guys have no shot on any other team in the nfl |

Tell that to Davis, Portis, Droughns, Mike Anderson, Tatum Bell, etc.
Is Denver's offense RB friendly? Of course, especially for the one-cut and go style runners. Does it make the RB completely? No. We have a talented RB group anyone of which could play backup roles on other teams.
You are right to imagine what Henry can do here though, he will be awesome (barring injury).
And eff your fantasy team |

I know they stated Mike Bell would start last year but I don't think he did. Eventually, Tatum Bell retook the starting job right before they played the Rams in the season opener. _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

Willie Parker had 70 carries and averaged 3.4 ypc at North Carolina his last year. According to your logic, since a player couldn't even get onto the field for a cellar dweller like UNC, then he should have never even been looked at in the NFL. Well, now, he's a Pro Bowl RB and could become an elite RB if he keeps playing how he is.
And now, because Selvin Young shared carries at a national powerhouse like UT, he won't be any good. Man, you sure know what you're talking about. _________________

i think releasing Mike bell would be a mistake. all he did was avearge 4.3 yards per carry behind a banged up line unable to exicute its usual blocking scheme. _________________ When you base your opinions off of facts instead of searching for facts that support your opinions you will find yourself often the contrarian but rarely the fool. |

Yea, he is so talented! Very underrated at Texas with Charles there. I hope he can make a big impact. They have a good running attack with Henry, Young and Bell. _________________
