| Quote: | The Titans have agreed to terms with former Colts defensive tackle Corey Simon, who is expected to bolster the run defense.
Simon, who visited with Titans officials last week, could be on the practice field as early as today

Are we ever going to find out what injury he sustained last year? _________________ "The really important kind of freedom involves attention, and awareness, and discipline, and effort, and being able truly to care about other people and to sacrifice for them, over and over, in myriad petty little unsexy ways, every day.” |

Early reports stated polyarthritis, but his agent and Colts GM Bill Polian stated it has nothing to do with previous surgery to fix polyarthritis when he sat out. _________________

He was great in Philly at one point, then he vanished. Hopefully in his return he will be somewhat of the player he used to be, which is good enough for our D line. _________________

| He's a little washed up but a decent signing none the less. |

From the way he looked last year, his ailment was Chronic Buffet Syndrome. _________________

Yeah, I was skeptical at first because pictures I saw of him were just completely suprising at his weight. However, Fisher wouldnt let this signing happen if he was that out of shape, which he did report that he was very suprised at the shape Simon was in, so who knows. I still on the fence about the signing, but we need all the help we can get, and if Fish says he is in shape, then that is plenty good enough for me. _________________

I think the reason he sat out last year was because he received Liposuction. _________________

There is a picture of him at Titans practice in uniform on the Titans main page, and he looks pretty good to me. _________________

He looks better, had a year off and is trying to get back to those days in PHL. 1 year for the vet minimum isnt a bad signing, its a make or break year, and we certainly didn't break the bank to get him. So if he can perform like he used to, then its a complete steal, if he cant, then see you later. _________________

Looking good means nothing. Brock Lesnar looked awesome in Vikings camp last year but he couldn't play a lick. Granted, Simon is a veteran football player and shouldn't be compared to Lesnar, but there's a big difference between in shape and in football shape, which Simon can't be in having missed a couple training camps and seasons. The big question is, does he still have that 'quick twitch' muscle fiber? What made him a standout was his quickness for his size and if he doesn't have that anymore than he's just another body thrown out there. _________________

I think it's a good pickup, he could help that defense if he stays in shape. _________________
