http://news.steelers.com/article/80772/ | Okobi is a surprise. I thought for sure he'd get the starting center job. _________________

Not a surprise at all. He was the worst safety in Packers history. And Al Harris and Charles Woodson went to Mike McCarthy asking him to replace Manuel with Bigby in the starting lineup. They said they could no longer trust Manuel. _________________

I see the word practice squad thrown around a lot but some people dont know the extent of what it is. I did the following link because of it.
http://www.footballsfuture.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=2882878#2882878
Great link in that thread to a Seattle writer who made a lenghty but very informative explanation. _________________

Colts.com
Indy cuts
QB Josh Betts
RB Dede Dorsey
RB Clifton Dawson
WR Craphonso Thorpe
WR Trent Shelton
WR John Standeford
TE Johnny Harline
TE Gijon Robinson
TE Matt Farbotko
OG Joe Lobdell
OG Matt Ulrich
OT Sam Wilder
DE Bo Schobel
DE Ryan LaCasse
DT Rameel Meekins
LB KaMichael Hall
LB Brandon Archer
LB Victor Worsley
DB Duane Coleman
DB Tanard Davis
DB Antonio Perkins
DB Scott Ware
And I'm as surprised as anyone that Doresy didn't make the team, I knew that Kenton Keith outperformed him in training camp but I guess Luke Lawton shows more promise on special teams or is holding down a roster spot until they see a better option in F/A _________________ Colts/Badgers/Brewers/Bucks |

Chiefs Cuts
Quote: | Kansas City placed RB Priest Holmes on the Reserve/Non-Football Injury List (NFI). The Chiefs released WR Brad Ekwerekwu, S Marlon Fair, DT Kiki Gonzalez, WR Chris Hannon, FB Gilbert Harris, DE Michael Heard, G Rob Hunt, DT Patrice Majondo-Mwamba, DE Montez Murphy, T James Newby, RB Marcus O’Keith, CB Justin Phinisee, CB Will Poole, QB Casey Printers, WR Ean Randolph, LB Nick Reid, LB Rich Scanlon, G Tre Stallings, QB Jeff Terrell and TE Keith Willis |
A couple surprises. Chris Hannon being cut over Samie "Hands of Stone" Parker makes no sense. And cutting Casey Printers I don't get. We now only have 2 QB's on the roster, which could mean that we go after a QB ala Leftwich.
And I'm glad to see that Germaine Race wasn't cut. Definitely my favorite college player of the past few years. I guess being on PUP isn't much different, but he's still on the team. |

A source close to the situation said cornerbacks Al Harris and Charles Woodson had been lobbying the coaches for Bigby to replace Manuel, a player whom they apparently no longer trusted. |

I wonder how many of these will end up on the Cardinals roster? I hope Whiz and Grimm know what they are doing. |

I was really mad about some of the cuts. I wanted Barksdale to be our #4 or 5 CB. And I wanted Bloom so bad so he can return kicks, he did alright in preseason. I wanted Gaddis so bad, because he has so much talent, if he stayed in school, he's a sure 1st day pick this year. Ilaoa didn't impress me, but I wanted him on the team, I like his hair. I'm glad Sav won the starting job at punter. I think we should have placed Dirk on IR just in case, because Sav is a horrible holder. I was really rooting for Marques Murrell, Lee Vickers and Tank Daniels, but I knew they wouldn't make the team anyway. And Murrell went to Appalachian State. _________________

I actually think Nall, Mauel and Plako were surprises too. Not so much Manuel though, I think he'll get picked up though.I think Plako definitely deservs to go soemwhere and be on their Practice Squad, I think he was great at Pittsburgh. _________________

Haha!
Okobi and Haynes..
Haynes is very versatile.. FB & RB
Okobi didn't want to be on the team if he didn't start.. and he cost like 2m. _________________
