Allen said he would play the hot hand, in what world is McFadden's hand hot?

He touched Dennis Allen's seat before the game.

This is sad to hear, but at least good old doub 00 is still alive and fighting as always.

Actually, Jack Tatum had his leg removed at his knee because of diabetes.

Jim Otto is a different story. He's had about 40 operations on his legs and because of infections and such resulting from those operations, the guy had to have his leg removed.

Here's to a speedy recover to a living legend.

That's right. I remeber watching the 10 best rivalries where we got #1 for "Raiders vs. Everyone" how tatum got his leg amputated, and he was in the interview calling Lynn Swan soft. Classic. But anyay your right, same situation, with the leg coming off, but different guy.

Makes you wonder if TRUE warriors like Otto and Tatum had option bonuses in their contracts. Much respect to the guys from the past who gave it up for love of the game.

Such a tragedy to see these guys who were supreme athletes in their day succumb to the effects of old age. It'll catch up to us all but it still sucks to witness.

Well stories like this really make me admire Ditka being as outspoken as he has been about the NFL taking care of its older players who didnt make..even 1/100th what todays primadonnas make..guys like Otto laid the FOUNDATION of the NFL..Im glad Al Davis has spoken out on it..the NFL and its players today make SOOO much money its dizzying. I bet for every one guy as well known as Jim Otto theres a couple others who you never hear about having these kinds of issues. For the NFLPA to want to keep hundreds on millions of dollars in its coffers to take care of todays players who make millions and millions at the expense of guys like Otto who probably never made $100K in any year of his career is unconscionble. I know Ottos tight with Al..and Al takes care of his family..so im sure Otto has no worries financially when it comes to medical expenses...but I feel sad for those like him ..who are less notable and who played for more cut-throat organizations.

Swann was soft. He got KTFO by George Atkinson twice.
