Really good reads there I'm gonna read the rest later only finished the first two. Toomay reminds me of another player we picked up from the saints the same year we won superbowl VX. I remember him staying behind after the game shouting up to the seats how happy he was not to be on the saints anymore.

Yeah..could you imagine star players --then or especially now--getting on the bus after a game, slugging down whiskey and telling the owner "go F*** yourself" when the owner gets on the bus and complains because you cost him money for league uniform infractions. Then they all laugh about it. Classic stuff..hope some of the younger fans read this so they can appreciate where the "Raider Image" came from and made them something quite a bit different from other NFL teams.

Great Reads. I couldnt help but do it in one sitting. Don't start unless you have time to finish them. ESPNs links are messed up and out of order though. Thanks for putting the links here. Really great reads. The one about the 78 AFC Championship game against the Donks is a good one.

Funny about Art Thoms and the hearse they drove to games.

Art Thoms owns and operates a Raider Image or Locker room store here in Pleasant Hill CA.

I met him there the last time I went there and he showed me his superbowl ring, I'll have to ask him about the hearse next time I'm in there.
