He can still sign the tender. Today's deadline was just to sign him to a long-term deal with '07 as the first year. If he plays '07 under the franchise tender, he'll be a UFA after this season and the Pats will have to go through the normal process in trying to retain him.

Its on his chest not his arm. But it does say "Get Paid".
