Signed a four-year contract. The deal included a $428,000 signing bonus. I'll tell ya, I was pumped when I found out Denver was able to trade up to get this guy. Our depth at DT was sorely lacking leading up to the draft. Jim Bates has said it's only a matter of time before he becomes a starter. Remember, this guy was one of the best DT prospects in the draft if you look solely at talent.

Glad to hear it. This guy is Top 15 talent, and if he can change his life around, he's going to be a huge steal. I'm really glad we got him. _________________

I really think he's cleaned up. He sent drug tests to all thirty two teams, that he tested negative, to show them that he's cleaned up. If he doesn't clean up this will be a bad pick, if he does this will be a great pick. Time will tell though. _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

Im a Gator fan and I can tell you this guy is an outstanding player IF and thats a big IF he can stay clean he will be the steal of the draft but even after the Gators gave him another chance and told him he would be cut from the team if he wasnt clean he did it anyway, I hope he can stay clean with you guys but I just dont see it happening. _________________

Yeah, but I think drafting Jarvis had more to do with getting Marcus later. They both are clean so far and are both impressive. _________________

| if Thomas can stay out of trouble like i know he can, he will be the steal of the draft, He had top 20 talent, and getting him in the 4th was a huge steal. Bates will turn him into a top DT in this game. Great signing for us, i loved that fact we traded up for him. |

If he can lay off the Mary J, he's going to be a POWERFUL inside force for your D. You should have seen him play here at Florida man, I tell ya. He was easily one of the best D tackles in the nation. _________________

I did see him in a couple of games. He was in the opposing teams backfield frequently. |

I love the deal we made with Marcus. This is a great deal getting somone of this amount of talent and potential for 4 years at 3mill. In college, if Marcus could have been "clean" he could very well have been a top defencive tackle. He could potentially be up there with guys such as Amobi Okeye, and Jamal Anderson. _________________

Lots of Broncos fans thought drafting Maurice Clarett was a good move, too. People can change. It's probably not going to happen right after you give them a bunch of money, though. I hope for the best for him. _________________

Could be a good pickup for you. Low risk for the team too.
Definitely got somebody who could be the 2nd best DT in the draft. A far distant second to my boy Amobi..... lol Just kidding, only time will tell on that (though we are pretty pumped about Amobi). Low risk on Marcus, high possible reward, seems like a no-brainer to me. _________________

The difference between him and Clarett is that he's actually been working hard everyday (reportedly). Clarett was caught boozing in the team weightroom. |
