I saw on ESPN, although there's no link that I can find, that the Chargers are very interested in paul Oliver in the supp. draft, and are considering giving up a 2nd round pick for him because of the lack of holes on the team.
They also said that because Drayton Flornece will be a FA, Oliver could serve as his replacement, or at least the 3rd CB until he comes into his own.

I can see Oliver really excelling in the Chargers defensive scheme. He would make a starting corner immediately. easily taking the role of either Florance or Jammer. That wold make two great young athletic corners in Oliver and Cromartie too.
I still am hoping my Cowboys can make a grab for him. And or Gaither. _________________

It would be a good pickup on Thursday's Supplemental Draft. The Chargers could use a good CB to be the dime back this year behind Quentin Jammer, Drayton Florence, and Antonio Cromartie. He probably should have waited for next year's draft but none the less he is a good player and I think the Chargers should draft him. Let's just hope they won't regret it. _________________ Adopt-a-Ram: Brian Quick - 11 receptions, 156 yards, 2 TDs |

| Ummmm the Lions are more than likely going to take him with the #2 overall pick in the supplemental draft and IMO there is very little chance that he slips to the Chargers. |

Maybe, but Mort reported that there's a VERY good chance SD makes a real play for him. _________________

The Lions are gonna get rid of their first round pick for next year, likely a top five pick, and a team that still has huge holes, on a CB in the supplemental draft? I dont see it. _________________

I'd love to see the Steelers get him, Ike Taylor and Paul Oliver would be one of the best CB tandems in the NFL, but I'm more than happy with Bryant McFadden _________________

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You darned Chargers don't need a CB! You've got Cromartie and Jammer. We do. Pretty bad. Kelly Herndon is not the answer and Nick Harper is #2 caliber @ best. The only other team I could accept taking him is the Lions. They need all the help they can get. _________________

Yea that is going to be one heck of a CB tandem. Plus the versatile Eric Weddle playing Safety. If the Chargers can keep all of these core players they have so much to look forward to. _________________
