Nope, we like 'em as big as possible. JDR's gameplan is to just have the opponent give up after seeing how big we are... I think we can pull it off by 2011. | Then why didn't you guy's go after Leonard Davis? _________________

I heard the Ravens were real interested in him also. He could learn behind Ogden for a year and start next year when JO retires after the Ravens win the superbowl. |

Every NFL team was at his workout, the Falcons and Jags just had the most.
I'd love to grab him, he's a top 10 pick IMO if he was in next year's draft. I love this guy. |

I'd be happy if the Ravens parted with a 2nd rounder for big Jared...He could be exactly what we need right now: a future left tackle. That's about the only part across the line that doesn't look great for the future. And if Adam Terry doesn't work out at right tackle, he could move back to left, and Gaither could move to right, where he has expierience. Plus he's a hometown guy. I've watched just about every one of his games, and I'm a huge fan. You don't come across guys like him too often, he's one of the most talented offensive lineman in recent memory, at least in my opinion. If we could nab him, we could be looking at a future of this:
LT - Jared Gaither
LG - Jason Brown
C - Chris Chester
RG - Ben Grubbs
RT - Adam Terry |

I think the Falcons would be in the best spot to get him cause we have two 2nd round picks next year. I think if he played college ball another year he would be a first round pick next year so you gotta think its worth it. The problem is everytime I think the Falcons are going to make a good move they dont so Im not sure. He would be the perfect replacement for Gandy. _________________

Atlanta will reportedly not participate in Thursday's Supplemental Draft.
There had been a lot of speculation that the Falcons were looking at Maryland OT Jared Gaither as an eventual successor for LT Wayne Gandy, 36. The Ravens and Jags are the other teams that appear most interested.

I already posted it in this thread, it is on the first page. Somebody said I was wrong because they sent so much scouts to his pro day and the Falcons won't participate.
Here it is.

The Falcons have no plans to participate in Thursday's NFL supplemental draft, the team said Monday. If a team participates in the supplemental draft it must forfeit a corresponding pick from the 2008 NFL entry draft |

It's probably not a good idea for the Falcons to not participate in the Supplemental Draft. They need to go after Jared Gaither, he's huge, he stands 6'9 and weighs 330 pounds. Wayne Gandy is 36 years old and the Falcons need to get Gaither to be the future replacement for him. |

from Atlanta Journal-Constitution | I'll believe it when I see it... hate to say but nothign is EVER set in stone. I guarantee McKay will submit a 4th round bid just in case no one else puts in one higher... _________________
