Just to break the monotony of offseason threads, WHICH JETS HEAD COACH IS YOUR FAVORITE AND WHY?

mine is REX RYAN, he is the epitome of a football coach, he's tough, hes smart, and players R-E-S-P-E-C-T him. he can get the most out of a player and he's not afraid to go out on a limb for the team or for a player. He doesnt have the RING yet but Ill venture to say he will soon enough.

what ya'll think?

You probably weren't even around to see him coach.

In my lifetime, Rex.

gotta admit that "you play to win the game" speech is epic. For all the heat that he took as a coach towards the end, I really did like him.

There's no two ways around Rex, no pun intended.

If I was anywhere near old enough to have witnessed Super Bowl III Weeb would probably get the pick, but the only way to really be able to accurately judge a coach is to witness his teams firsthand.

Parcells got some consideration considering he was basically THE man during my first year or two where I was able to come close to understanding football and will always hold a place in my heart, but Rex is just so likable, entertaining and as a Jets fan there's no way to argue with consecutive AFC championship game appearances.

Rich Kotite probably voted for Rich Kotite.

Rex is easily the greatest coach in Jets history. Not only has he had the most success, but his personality fits New York like no one else ever has.
