Welcome the Draft Weekend Discussion Thread. The day is finally here. We can discuss the draft in this topic and I will provide links to some important topics elsewhere on this forum.
Enjoy! _________________

So my guess is you don't want the forum cluttered with a topic for each move and pick we make. If that's the case, let's try not to make it harder for the mods tomorrow and keep everything in here. _________________

Yeah, it is silly to make new thread each selection.
Wow! no signing with Raiders so far. I am pretty sure Raiders will have leverage to trade down if they draft either Johnson or Brady. Several teams want Johnson and not many teams are interested in Russell.
I dont think Jets will have a shot to get Marcus McCauley in the 2nd round despite of possibly trading up to into the top order of 2nd round because Colts lost two starting cbs to FA so I intend to believe that they will draft McCauley as the 32nd overall selection. |

Well we can pick just about anybody.. it's a lot harder to predict than last year, I love it. Tannenbaum said besides a punter, anything is fair game.
With the 25th pick in the 2007 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Nick Leeson, long snapper, Virginia Tech.

| According to Gil Brandt, Houston is a big talker. What exactly does it mean? Good or Bad? |

Does anyone know how long the first day generally goes for? It starts at 2am here, and I thought it might only be like 8 hours or something but if I remember correctly, each team gets 15 mins to make their pick in the first round (1/4 x 32 = 8 hours) and 10 mins for the rest (1/6 x 64 = 10+ hours). That absolutely can't be right. That would have it going from midday until like 6am. I must be doing something wrong... _________________

Round 1 = 15 minutes
Round 2 = 10 minutes
Rounds 3-7 = 5 minutes |

Oh ok. That's still a long time. Does it usually continue until the late hours of the night? _________________

It does go on for a long time... I think last year the first day was over at around 9-9:30. |
