A lot of folks think they'll take undersized linebacker Lawrence Timmons because he's a lot like the departed Joey Porter. But the Steelers like locals, as long as they're good. PAUL POSLUSZNY, LB Penn State.

i guess that makes darelle revis a possibility too....

im not sold on poluszny.

Jamaal Anderson is the choice the more and more i look at it, read into it.

Anderson>Revis (throwing him in there cuz the local aspect)>Timmons>Spencer>Poluszny

don't bash, just my opinion

I'm with you on Anderson and Revis, those are the two I want at #15 in that order. But I think & hope we trade down if Anderson isn't there. Posluszny is at his best. He's to slow and can't cover because of it.

Another way of saying that it would be a feel good story for the media if Pittsburgh would just take a home town boy.

I really hope we don't take a CB, unless maybe Leon Hall is there. I think were set at CB. McFadden, and Taylor will mature into a shutdown CB tandem IMO next year. We maybe need one in the 3rd or lower to replace Townsent. I also have faith in Cochlough. Just don't put him at PR, but I think he does have really good comfort skills. I would be confident with this CB depth chart....
1) B Mac
2) Ike
3) Couclough
4) Townsend
5) Draft pick to replace Townsend in 08 ( I like Josh Wilson in the 3rd)

I want no parts of any corners in this draft on the 1st day

Woodson and Palmer took turns bashing Hall yesterday on the NFLN

I cant get past the slide technique of Revis..Loses a step or 2 in transition

Anderson
Levi Brown
Trade Down for Spencer Beason or even Siler

Do the Steelers really "like locals"? There's nobody on the roster from Pitt, and the only PSU guy is Scott Paxson. Seems like a dubious claim on the part of the mocker.

They pick up local FA when they think they ca get a home town discount. you are not going to get that from a draft pick.

They consider OSU local too. Santonio Holmes, James Harrison KSU.

Some knock Pos for coverage ability, Foote/Farrior cant either. Its not their job too.
