#25 and 59 are within 20 points of an even trade for the 15. IF, and that is a HUGE IF, Poz would be there at 25, I'd be all for that trade. I personally think Poz will go before 25 though, and maybe before 15.

Who in their right mind would take Poz before 15?
I know you really like him and I agree that he's going to be a good player, but if a team takes him before 15 they are making a big mistake. I would like it if you were right though b/c that means a better player might fall to us.

Bills are in need of a LB, so are the Panthers. If Willis goes earlier, one of those 2 might take him. Anyone who's seen Poz play knows he's good enough to warrant just about any pick.

Poz was a great college player.

Poz has peaked.

Poz will be an above average - at best - NFL linebacker.

Very very low ceiling.

I'd spend a 3rd rounder on Poz.

Poz might have problems in coverage, yes, but you aparently never saw him chase a back down from behind.

The guy can cruise when he needs to, and shifts through traffic like a champ.

Yes Brian Bosworth, we've all heard your comparisons of Pos to a guy who was drafted when you were a toddler--real reliable source you are...(BTW: when Larry Johnson was coming out did you tell everyone he was the second coming of Curtis Enis too?). I personally like Pos, he reminds me of Tedy Bruschi/Zach Thomas...

In regards to the trade with the Jets, if we traded our 15 for their 25 and 59 that would be ideal, and could set up a draft day that could go like this...

Trades: 1.15 for 1.25 and 2.59
Alan Faneca to 'Zona for their 2.38 pick

so day one:

1.25: Timmons/Moss/Posluszny
2.38: Blalock/Sears/Grubbs
2.46: David Harris/Lamar Woodley
2.59: Eric Wright
3.77: Quentin Moses/ Ramirez/ Akaima-Francis

I like the prospect of three second round picks (if we were to package the three picks together it'd b the value of 1.10, where we could undoubtedly get either Jamal Anderson, Patrick Willis, or Gaines Adams if he should happen to fall).

Day one could also look like this:

1.10: Jamal Anderson/Patrick Willis/ Gaines Adams
1.25: Timmons/Pos/Jarrett/Spencer
3.77: Ikaima-Francis/ Moses/Ramirez

Both could be interesting scenarios, either way if Faneca's going to hold out I like dealing him to the Cards if he can get their second round for him. This is all speculation, like always, but it would be interesting to have three second rounders come Saturday.

What was the other trade? I've only seen you post the Jet's trade rumor.

SteelSedition, you continue to try to talk to me, yet you also continue to fail to address me as "Your honor."

I hold in you in contempt of football knowledge and hereby sentence you to 1 week in the cage.

Posluszny should be a decent pro. He is profected as ILB in 34 so he doesnt warrant enough of a need to pick at 15. He is always around the ball and is a sure tackler, a straight ahead player rather than sideline to sideline thats needed in 34. But again, his strong suit isnt getting vertical which is the need.

Then Smith could start and Robertson could wave in.

Or Robertson starts Smith waves in.

Keisel would be expendable in this scenario.

I agree that Keisel might be expendable, but I think Robertson makes something like 8-9 million a season now. Whichever guy you have waving in (Smith or Robertson) they're going to be paid way too much to be backups. Don't get me wrong I would love it if the draft worked out like this, but I just can't see the FO doing it.

Robertsons salary for this year is 2.4 million actually

God is a no go, how about the online lacerator of the Canis lupus? In doing so the term lacerator would be coined...something you could undoubtedly boast of on a graduate school application.

If Paul Posluszny busts (barring injury) and does indeed become Brian Bosworth the second, then we'll negotiate deity titles of which I would feel comfortable using when directly addressing you.

That was the one I heard. Is the other the Fanica to Cards for their #2?

Know nothing of the Cards and Faneca.

Faneca is tough to trade...Cap hit for the Steelers would be almost 3.5 million dollars. When a player is traded the signing bonus portion and all team/roster bonuses are accelerated and due at the time of the trade. Basically the Steelers have to get 3.5 million dollars under the cap on the day they make the trade...and the money is dead against the cap

k. Confusion on my part. It sounded like, from an earlier post, that you had heard of two trade rumors .
