To be honest i didnt think i would say this but i am getting a little sick of al the mock drafts. I mean i love looking at them but with only a couple days left, im sick of reading them so i thought i would do something different. I just want to get your thoughts on what you would like to see the steelers do different next year .....some of my thoughts are

ben get the long ball down (not throwing like a hailmarry)

bring pressure on third and longs not sit back

ben not force it hit his check downs he did do that more this year(watch payton and palmer always hitting their backs when nothings there)

Ben find one on one coverage and let receiver make a play like he did a couple of time at the end of the year to holmes (remember 1st game batch let washington go up and get it)

Use miller more ..once again 1st game of season

Throw the fade(you dont always need a tall receiver)

Hand to kreider a couple times

I know alot of these things dont really fit into "steeler football"...and i know there are some personal problems but those are just some things i wish we would try

let me know what you guys would like to see us do differently

Things I wish the Steelers would do differently...

Pressure the opposing QB.
Protect Ben from getting smashed.
Make the easy catches...*cough* Nate Washington *cough*
Not get steamrolled by the Ravens.

Thats the gist of it.

I mostly agree with you. The only thing I don't want is Kreider getting the ball.

-Ben develop, specifically learn to check primary WR, check secondary WR or TE, then either run for what you can get or throw it away.

I don't think I've ever seen Ben throw the ball away. After the season he had last year, it's a lesson he needs to learn.

-Stop blitzing Polamalu so much.

-Have Holmes run the fly route (post pattern) more often.

-Throw to Miller more

1. When you have a lead on a team dont sit on the ball put them out of their misery.

2. Dont just sit there and run the ball 50 times and get 70 yards obviously you need to throw!

3. Find a reciever whether it be someone on the roster or in the draft who can catch the ball. Im tired of cedrick and nate acting like the ball was heated to a 1000 degrees before it was thrown to them.

4. Get someone anyone who can blitz the qb and hit him when you get there.

5. Get a punter.

6. Throw the ball to the tight end once in a while.

7. protect ben before his career gets ended because the line cant pass block.

Jamal Lewis seems to be a real uphill runner now. That's a problem. Downhill runners are preferred. Maybe he is running in the wrong direction. Espn DJ Gallo

Things I would like the Steelers to do

Find there swagger

Eliminate outside distractions.

Put the best players on the field

Replace underachieving veterans

Play every game like a playoff game

How about see them go undefeated and win the SB? Doubtful, I know, so how about making Anthony Smith and Santonio Holmes starters? I see that as a top priority, though I believe this is something to be expected after how well they both played last year.

A pass rush is a need as is better pass blocking.

#1 need is for the players to hold on to the d*** football.
