Now dont rip my head off for any of this , but i just was bored and thought i would put something together.

15. Greg Lloyd - LB

1988 - 1997
Sacks - 54.5. Interceptions - 11. Fumbles - 16

Led the steelers linebackers in the 90's.

14. Rod Woodson - DB

1987 - 1996
Sacks - 13.5. Interceptions - 71. Int Td's - 12. PR Td's - 2. Pr avg - 9.1

Maybe one of the most overlooked players of the Steelers because of that decade. He led the Steelers Defense and also was a great punt returner.

13. Lynn Swann - WR

1974 - 1982
Receptions - 336. Yards - 5462. Touchdowns - 51

He was a player that made great catches but however I think that his partner john stallworth was a much better receiver. Dont get me wrong, Swann was great , its just i think the steelers have had better recievers.

12. Dermontti Dawson - C

1988 - 2000
7 Pro - Bowls
184 games played

Was the anchor of the Pittsburgh offensive line in the 90's. Probally one of the greatest Steeler lineman of all-time.

11. Mike Webster - C

1974 - 1988
8 Pro-Bowls
245 Games Played

One of the greatest centers of all-time and the leader of our offensive line during our 4 super bowls and much of the 80's.

10. Jack Ham - LB

1971 - 1982
Interceptions - 32. Fumbles - 21. Sacks - 25.

Not much to say. He was a great linebacker for the steelers and helped lead them to that greatness in the 70's

9. Hines Ward - WR

1998- present
Receptions - 648. Yards - 8005. Touchdowns - 58.

I have a feeling this is where i get my head ripped off but listen to what i have to say. I looked into this and his stats are much better than swann's . I consider him one of our greatest wide recievers and i think this is a good place to put him.

9. John stallworth - WR

1974-1987
Receptions - 537. Yards - 8723. Touchdowns - 63.

I looked at him and ward and decided that they were equally matched so i just put them in a tie for 9th place.

7. Ernie Stautner - DL

1950 - 1963
Fumbles - 23.

Probally the best player that came out of the original steelers teams. Set an example for the steelers defense we know.

6. Mel Blount - DB

1970 - 1983
Interceptions - 57 . Touchdowns - 2. Fumbles - 11.

Forced the NFl to change rules because of how tough his play was. An all around amazing player for the steelers in the 70's.

5. Jack Lambert - LB

1974 - 1884
Interceptions - 28. Fumbles - 17.

One of our greatest leaders of all-time. Known for his tough attitude and play.

4. Franco Harris - RB

1972 - 1983
Yards - 12,120. Avg. - 4.1 . Touchdowns - 91

In my mind the second greatest runningback in steeler history. He helped that amazing 70's offense

3. Jerome Bettis - RB

1996 - 2005
Yards - 13,662. Avg. - 3.9 . Touchdowns - 91.

Pretty much was our whole offense in a lot of his seasons. He was one of the most amazing players ive got to see. He was very big but was so fast for a guy his size.

2. Terry Bradshaw - QB

1970 - 1983
Yards - 27,989 . Touchdowns - 212

Pretty much our greatest QB ever. I dont think anyone even compares.

1. Mean Joe Greene - DT

1969 - 1981

I consider him our greatest player because he anchored our champion defense and was the first player that noll got in there. He was the cornerstone of our defense and maybe our team.

Thats my list. It may not be the best but I think its alright.
Remember , Im only 16 , So i tried my hardest to include everyone i thought was deserving.

Id put Webster higher...he is regarded as one of the greatest C of all time...And I wouldnt put ward above Ham and Webster... just my personal opinions based off what little i have seen from Ham and Webster...

Nice job. Nice Idea. Order is a little off IMO, but good work. I'd move Woodson up. NFL all 75th anniversary team and '93 AP consensus NFLDMVP.

Good job... I give you an "A" for effort Wink But Swann and Ward are too high... Rod Woodson is way too low!!! And as much as I love the man no way is Jerome Bettis the #3 Steeler all-time.... IMO

Id put Ward at #14 and Woodson in the top 5.

Lambert should be #1.

Bettis has no place on the list. I just cant past the fact the Steelers 3 best seasons over the past 11 years Bettis wasnt the starter

Super Bowl Loss to Cowboys year before Bettis

15-1 Duce Staley

Super Bowl Win Willie Parker

Bettis is the most over rated Steeler of all Time.

Second is Ernie Stautner he was decent on a historically terrible team

Gotta have John Henry Johnson in there somewhere and probably the steelers alltime leader in sacks, Mr. L.C. Greenwood. He registered 73.5 sacks. Good List but you need at least 20 spots.

Although I agree that Bettis is way too high, I think your reasoning is ridiculous and rather far fetched... the year we went 15-1 Duce was only active the first 7 games, and Bettis was a big part of the SB run and a great leader... with Jerome as the "starter" they did have 4 seasons with over 10 wins, made 2 AFC Championship games, 6 straight 1000 yd seasons, 1 over 1600 and 1 over 1400... 78 TDs as a Steeler.

Bettis is not over-rated, just too highly rated in this thread

Gildon is the official alltime leader in (registered) sacks. I think the list hits what I would consider to be primarily the top 15, though not necessarily in the order I would put them. Then again, its hard to compare modern players I've seen play with the players of previous generations who at this point have become just as much myth as flesh.

I would definitely put Rod a lot higher though, and probably Blount higher as well. Blount is probably the best corner to ever play the game and he can't even make top five on the team's list?

That debate could open whole can of worms. LT, Curtis Martin, the list goes on of RB's that couldnt carry their teams to the promise land. But they're still some of the best all time.

Actually Staley missed how many games?

Why was Bettis brought in

My logic is not flawed.

Its 100% accurate and factual.

You just dont like it.

I feel the Steelers win multiple Super Bowls if Bettis never comes to Pittsburgh. You disagree...Which is cool

Lets not forget Bettis almost gave away another playoff game. See Gary Brackett hit...Fumble

Bettis is/ was fat slow and unclutch...

Staley started the first 7 games, got hurt and then "appeared" in three games after that

My logic is not flawed. Its 100% accurate and factual.

Its 100% opinion

I feel the Steelers win multiple Super Bowls if Bettis never comes to Pittsburgh. You disagree...Which is cool So who would have been our Running Back?

Lets not forget Bettis almost gave away another playoff game. See Gary Brackett hit...Fumble Yeah because he fumbled all the time huh? ANY RB who takes a hit like that... helmet on ball will fumble... ANY RB

Bettis is/ was fat slow and unclutch...

I am not going to argue, because its a waste of time.. I am not a huge Bettis fan but he did put up a lot of yards, and TDs and was a leader... without him I don't think we win XL... but that is my opinion... you're welcome to your own
