START SAVING ALL YOUR PAPER BAGS. I THINK WE'LL NEED EM' THIS YEAR.
PASSING ON DERRICK JOHNSON WAS ALMOST AS BAD AS WHEN WE SELECTED ALEX MOLDEN OVER EDDIE GEORGE.

I think you guys did GREAT. You got three guys that will be starters by the end of the year. Fincher is GREAT and Bullocks can be a ballhawk. Congratulations _________________ The Executioner has been executed. |

| I give this draft an A. We addressed almost every need in a major way other than a second corner( I guess they believe Fahkir can handle it) we got a guy who I think will be the steal of the draft McPherson, and got a LB who is a beast against the run, passing on Derrick Johnson will NOT be a mistake he will be good but we have young linebackers who can play and this was not the biggest need, Plus Fincher is a beast, we got a couple od DTs I don't know but the needs were fixed and I loved it. |

I grade this draft an A-
Here's why!!
Brown- Although we could have addressed LB,OT,S by springing forward, we took the initiative and got who we wanted. He will be a starter at RT, and we now have the ability to have Mayberry at his RG natural position.
Bullocks-He will have 2 aces to learn under w/ smith and bellamy. Eventual replacement for Bellamy.
Fincher-Ability to play inside and out, especially against the run. Not a lock on starting, but will fit right in to our young LB corps.
Lyman-Look at the size of this WR 6'4 210 !!
A-Mac-This is our future QB. Has got it all!
Jefferson- Will start at R DT and will be our rookie of the year. Grandslam with this pick.
Verdon- Solid DT will get some playing time, but is more of a depth/project type pick IMO.
I wish we would have gotten 1 more LB. that to me is the downgrade on the Final grade. Overall, I am very excited for the new Saints and this years run for the Superbowl. |

armyscout...
are you that high on the DTs that we selected? I don't know much about either guy. They went about where they were suppose to go. I have a hard time believing that a 6th and 7th round DT will crack the starting lineup starting year 1. I believe that DT is now currently the weakest position on our team. Sure...now we have depth at the position...but I am not so sure that we have one quality starter in our interior front four.
With that said...I am glad that we didn't trade Howard. And I hope that we don't trade him if we can afford him. We might need him for DT. If Howard can play a little DT for us again this season...this could go down as one of the more successful offseasons in saints history. |

Yeah I am betting ALL IN on this kid Jefferson. I think he is everything we wanted Sully to be.
Projected lower than should have been b/c was overshadowed by hyped-up Anntaj Hawthorne.
Verdon is a project, I thought we should have looked for a project LB instead. |
