I'd like to see him B&G. I think he would be an ideal guy spell Willie Parker. _________________

Tony Hunt is slow.
Tony Hunt is not aggressive.
Tony Hunt is easily tackled.
Tony Hunt can't block.
Tony Hunt can't catch.
Just say no to Tony Hunt. _________________

He is playing in college.
There is, in fact, a difference in speed between the college game and NFL game.
Nate Ilaoa didn't look slow in college.
Neither did Lendale White. _________________

There are still some fast guys that had to chase him down...I believe Leon Hall put up decent numbers and caught him because of a good angle basically. He may not be fast, but who says he needs to be. Bettis was by no means fast, or you could look at Brandon Jacobs. He is a power runner, he does not need to be fast.
Before you mentioned that he is tackled easily, but most of the tackles on him are from behind because he has good enough vision to get past the second level. It is a lot easier to tackle a guy like him from behind. He went through a lot of arm tackles at the line like they were nothing. Most backs would at the very least be knocked off their path on a lot of those. _________________

Highlight videos can make a turd nugget look like a gold nugget.
Leon Hall caught him. So I'm not sure what your point is.
Bettis was a 4.5 guy coming out of college. Hunt is a 4.7 guy. Bettis was bigger.
Brandon Jacobs was also a 4.56 guy coming out of college.
Hunt is a 6th round talent, at best. _________________

He doesn't need to be "fast" I would see us using him as a Power back. Larry Johnson isn't what I'd cal' "fast". _________________

Larry Johnson was a 4.55 guy coming out of college.
We can go back and forth all day.
There is slow and then there is Tony Hunt slow.
Tony Hunt does not run aggressively enough to break tackles at the NFL level. He won't be a good power back at the NFL level.
You'll see.
I can't remember the last 4.7 speed RB who came to the NFL and was good. There probably are some. I don't have 40 yard dash times memorized. I bet you could count them on one hand though. _________________

Hmm you know what people said the same things about fwp
Willie parker - nicknamed sideways parker
Because looks to run out of bounds rather than have contact
Willie parker is a selfish runner
Because he tried to bounce every play outside
Willie parker cant block
Willie parker is not agressive
Back in 2005 during the playoff run the sports talkers at espn 1250 am in pgh called the sports writers at unc who wondered why willie parker was the steelers starting running back and could not understand how the same fwp they watched could not possibly be the same fwp who lined up at unc
so you cant always judge a book by its cover can you? all psu players are not terrible cmon give the guy some credit i watched him i like him we dont need him to be fast just strong _________________

Jamal Lewis seems to be a real uphill runner now. That's a problem. Downhill runners are preferred. Maybe he is running in the wrong direction. Espn DJ Gallo |

You're talking speed. I'm giving you speed. I can give you Tony Hunts slow 3 cone and short shuttle if you want. 4.72 20 yard shuttle is ridiculously slow.
Kendall Simmons had a faster 20 yard shuttle than Tony Hunt.
Marcus Stroud was only slightly slower than Hunt in the short shuttle.
318 pound tackle Doug Free ran a much faster short shuttle and a faster 3 cone (4.53 and 7.38 vs Hunt's 4.72 and 7.39).
I talked aggressiveness. Tony Hunt can be aggressive but it is inconsistent. You can't coach aggressiveness.
Pass on Hunt. _________________

He is still only an average blocker.

You're on my ignore list until you apologize to me for implying that I said all PSU players are terrible.
Once again, a debate is ruined by someone's strawman. _________________

Cutwolf, you must not be watching the same video I am, because Tony Hunt looke fast and strong. Like most NFL analyst say you can't go by numbers alone if the numbers don't work go back to the tape. An you know what, I looked at the tape and Tony Hunt is a beast. I mean that wasn't just any defense he was running on it was the Buckeyes and Wovlerines. Two of the best run stopping defenses in the Big Ten maybe even the country. What is the 2000-2005 Jerome "Bus" Bettis forty time? Because I seen Jerome have 40+ TDs runs against NFL competition. What's H. Wards forty time right, now? Because I've seen him out run D. Hall and A. Samuel for 70+ TDs. Forty times are over-rated and the best test of speed is on the tape. _________________
