The Sooners D has been dominant and Bradford has suffered some in accurate passing this evening.
The game isn't over. Perhaps they should concentrate. _________________

Once again the Sooners lack the killer instinct. Big lead, then ineffective.
The running gamewasn't there and Bradford did not display his normal accuracy.
They can't play this way against a top ranked team. They will get humbled. _________________

Well are team looks good so far my one concern is our special Teams. I mean every time Jimmy Stevens kicks an extra point i think he's going to miss it, hopefully he will never be needed to make a critical field goal. Matt Moreland is a terrible kickoff specialist, he can only kick it to the 15 yard line, not allowing are guys to get into their proper positions to make the tackles. I Thought Tress way was suppose to have a big leg, why isn't he kicking field goals, or at least kickoffs. I think were going to have to kick the ball out of bounds to prevent all of the great return man in the big 12 to destroy our coverage team. _________________

That would be brutal. If a team like missouri started on the 40 yards line on every kickoff because of Maclin it would [inappropriate/removed] me off. If we lost I would probably blame the game on that because that is too much good field position for Missouri's offense.
I guess I was selfish last year. Seeing Garrett Hartley kick, he had a boot. We never really had to worry about returns because he would kick is out of the endzone. I actually remember him hitting a 70 yard FG during pre game. That was insane. _________________

On Oklahoma's first drive they capitalize with a 53 yard touchdown pass to Manuel Johnson. This is unbelievable. In the last 4 quarters and 2 minutes Manuel has caught 4 - 50+ yard touchdowns from Sam Bradford. _________________

Thats great but I have a few concerns with this team.
1. With their inability to attain a good YPC rushing a good team would defend the pass and make them run the ball.
2. Lack of a killer instinct. _________________

I think, when they run, it's to obvious for the defense to tell. _________________

I think it has more to do with other teams crowding the box against our runners, espeically since Bradford isn't being affected in the pass game. Had Bradford not been able to pass, then I'd be worried. Although, it seems like DeMarco Murray has lost his explosiveness that he had last year. _________________

No doubt. This does concern me. Our YPC is under 4 and I think our longest gain today was 9 yards. AGAINST BAYLOR!
They seemed reluctant to throw the ball enough to force the defence out of the box which would make our running game more effective.
In any event we will have a good test next week. _________________

Remember, Texas has a really young secondary so Bradford, Manny, Iglesias, Broyles, and Gresham should tear apart their secondary. _________________

I hope you are right. Just, the last few years there have been a number of set backs. I really want these guys to run the table this year and come away with a bowl victory. _________________

To be honest with you I think our longest run play the last 2 weeks has been 9 yards. The he funny thing is, against WASH they had a couple of the first drive. _________________

| I really think people are over looking the Run-Game Situation. I blame two things for the poor, for lack of a better word, run-game; 1.) The Run Blocking and 2.) The Field. Our O-Line couldn't open up many holes and for the most part played on our side of the line of scrimmage. Secondly, our backs were in a huge disadvantage with the artificial turf on Baylor's field. Murray, Madu, and Brown were slipping all over the Place. The black rubber under the turf was coming up, and the footwear our backs wore today, IMO, were in poor judgement by the trainers/coaches. I don't care who your runningback is, if you can't get traction on the field you won't have any success. |

You may well be right. I hope they get it figured out. _________________

Well....they didn't get it figured out.
Once again Oklahoma comes up short in a big game. The young Texas secondary played well enough. Our lack of a running game and a very poor defensive effort not to mention our very poor coverage team cost us.
Its time for a new nic for Big game Bob. _________________
