So the main point of the post you ignore after quoting me?

Oh, so I'm supposed to be able to pick out your "main point" out of your "list"? You have 9 lines, and none of them really stand out. W/E.

BTW, Miller was good at RBLK in '05, so we know the capability is there. No one on the team aside from Fast Willie played worth a damn last season. The only thing "debatable" from your post was that he was slow. I disagreed. Learn to live with it.

the man is slow Jayme.... theres no 2 ways around it.

his football speed might be alittle higher, but he's still slow.

the real talent here is his ability to find the hole and get open over the middle. he runs "good enough" routes and has excellent field awareness. those top speed any day.... ask Hines Ward and Anquan Boldin.

I've come to take Jayme's opinions with a grain of white salt.

Jayme would be my perfect example of a Steeler fan.

What loyal?

Miller had kind of a sophmore slump only few rookies don't have one. Heath will bounce back that I'll guarantee.

I think Heath Miller is a system player. The system has to thrive for him to. He cant put the offense on his back like Gates/Gonzo

So what your saying is that 30 other TE's in the league are products of the system? Heap? Witten? Crumpler? Clark?

Heap is a special player, but not utilized.

Witten doesnt look all that spectacular.

Crumpler is a product of having a terrible WR corp and a QB that can't hit anything under 6'2''.

Clark is definitely a product of a system.

And he was SERIOUSLY underutilized last year.

No, thats what you said. My opinion is based on the second year slump Miller encountered. In the game, the line struggled more than normal and Heaths blocking also suffered. Maybe connected, he may need more help in the run game than what your thinking. In passing game. WR' ran poor routes, dropped balls, QB sacks, some bad decision making by Ben, but Miller was unable to step up his game and put the O on his back for a couple games like great TE's do, hence Gates/Gonzo. Instead, he showed softness in recieving ability and inability to get open on a consistent basis.

Miller struggles run blocking had nothing to do with the Oline. Miller was walked or beat by numerous outside linebackers in the run game...That just cant happen.

Miller was a very good run blocker in 05.

Miller was a fantastic run blocker college...I remember Miller driving a steroid abusing def end from Maryland through the end zone.. dead on his back...Full mount lights out. Shawn something..Last name escapes me Wink

Miller's play in the passing game is beyond his control...He must catch the ball...He has great hands...So I have zero problem with Miller in the passing aspect of the offense.

Run blocking...Big issues.. When Demario Williams is walking my Te 3 yards in the back field...I got big problems..When Terell Suggs can beat my Te's down block and make plays outside the tackle box my running game is in big trouble.

Blocking is courage will grit technique and positioning
