If you are still interested in joining a staff please go to that team's FFMD War Room and let the GM know, or PM the GM. He will fit you into any remaining open positions, if they are all full you can still be a scout.
For a list of the GM's and their staffs click here.
For a list of of approved trades and to see which players each team has on the trading block click here.
During the last FFMD several teams posted pictures of the player they picked, and this is fine (and even encouraged) but I ask that you keep the pictures to a reasonable size. Lots of large graphics slow the load time for this thread tremendously especially for the members that have dial up.
A quick reminder that player/pick trades during the draft need to be PMed to Irish 11 or DaBrowns41 at least 24 hours before the draft pick involved in the trade is slated to be made. This is the only way we will have enough time to get them looked at by the trade council. Draft day trades that are pick(s) for pick(s) do not require 24hrs, they can be approved by Irish 11 or DaBrowns41 on the spot since they are simple calculations using the DVB. The more time you give us the better though since we aren't on 24/7 (although it does seem like we are at times )
In addition to the graphics please feel free to add a paragraph about the player you chose, and how he fits into your team if you would like.
As always, please feel free to PM Irish 11 if you have any questions or concerns.
Be sure to check our writers' columns for the latest draft rumors, news and interviews.

For years the Lions have lacked a true playmaker at the Free Safety position. Last season we drafted Daniel Bullocks in the second round. He is a natural strong safety, but was plugged in at free safety last year. With the addition of Landry it allows us to move Bullocks to his natural Strong Safety position and move Kenoy Kennedy to the bench. Kennedy is a more in the box type safety who doesn't fit the cover two scheme well. Landry gives us two young solid safeties who will roam the secondary like Lions who roam the frontiers of the African plains. _________________

With the third pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns select Joseph Thomas, Offensive Tackle out of Wisconsin.
Simply, he's pretty good. Some would say he's elite. We will. Lacking a left tackle since the inception of the Cleveland Browns since 1999, We've finally solidified that position after 8 years. Our Brass has decided to give good ol' Chuck another year, and with the addition of Steinbach, our offensive line should be pretty darn good with Thomas. Hopefully, this will lead to another 2000 yard season out of Jamal Lewis, but this time, he doesnt use the Cleveland Browns as his punching bag. _________________

With the 5th pick of the 2007 NFL Draft the Atlanta Falcons select:
Adrian Peterson
Running Back
Oklahoma University
Wow. we get the #3 player on our board. the best RB by far in this draft. has the character off the field similar to Warrick Dunn's and has the on the field talent of a guy like Jamal Lewis in his prime. With Peterson as our power back and Norwood as our spread back we should have a very potent running attack and the passing game should improve because of how the running backs will actually be the ones getting yards instead of Vick being the one who actually gets the yards. _________________

Redskins Take Amobi Okoye, DT out of Louisville
We need a great DT and with Okoye's age, we could develop him for years to come.

With the 7th pick of the 2007 NFL Draft the Minnesota Vikings select:
Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee
After being unsuccessfull at finding a trade partner the Vikings were forced to make the reach. It was a tough decision between Meachem, Anderson and Willis but Meachem fills our biggest need at wide receiver and will hopefully make Tarvaris Jackson a very happy quarterback one day. |

With the 10th pick in the 2007 FFMD, the Houston Texans select
Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
His rights were then traded to Kansas City for the 23rd pick and DE Jared Allen.
This trade gives us the franchise QB that Kansas City has always wanted, but never acted on. In the process, we are getting a great value for our disgruntled DE Jared Allen, which has had problems with the law, and has recently become upset due to contract issues. This trade benefits both teams equally. On behalf of all the Chiefs fans out there, I would like to say WELCOME TO KANSAS CITY, BRADY QUINN! _________________

The San Francisco 49ers Select:
Alan Branch (DT) Michigan
At 6'6" 324lbs Branch has the perfect blend of size and speed to play any position along the line in a 3-4 scheme. Our staff thought that there were some other very talented players in this draft, but what it bolied down to for us is depth.Branch will start at RDE but if needed he was the only player in this draft that we thought could be equally effective at a true NT or DE.Our staff realizes the value of this depth and finds Branch to hard to resist here as he was #2 overall on our draft board. We are shocked and overjoyed to be able to land Branch here. |
