Even though the salary cap for each team is the same eventually it will rise higher the redskins for example make over 300 million in local revenue the jaguars 150 million.

Mr rooney estimated 20 teams including our beloved steelers may not be able to remain competitive unless the higher revenue grossing teams share more.

The revenue problem could alter the competitive balance in the nfl since teams have to share to help build stadiums the new giants and jets stadium has an estimated cost of 1.6 billion when stadiums such as heinz field only cost over 300 million even the commissioner said he is concerned.

A third of the teams in the leauge are developing a salty attitude towards teams that wont share more. Even though salary cap is 109 million player benefits boost the team cost to 130 million so the television contract doesnt cover the spending the nfl could be in trouble.

Mr rooney said it first

salary cap is rising but it won't rise to a point where they cannot function. That is why the salary cap is rising bit by bit and not given an immediate increase. They got time to figure out the problem. Basic Economics says that the teams with the higher revenue will refuse to share but they also try to protect their "entity" as a whole. somethings gotta give Shocked
