OK look back 2 years, and look who our steeler type players/lockerroom guys

1.Porter
2.Bettis
3.Cowher
4.Ward

I know this is random but come on re-signing Ward was underated last year. He is the last guy standing to our key guys from the super bowl. The whole point to this thread is ...who is going to be our new generation of the face of the steelers players after ward leaves.

Troy Polamula, Casey H. or Fast Willie these here are some of the best in the league at their collective positions plus high character guys too which is always a PLUS.

look at that stupid little dance he does after the hit. I hate those kinds of things. I cldnt find the video where he danced his way out of bounds after an interception and got yelled at by bill.

On the money. This needs to happen before we are playoff/SB contenders again.

I agree we need to resign ward but i dont see him as our locker room guy. Hes pretty much quiet. So i dont know how he could be consider one of our locker room guys.. and if you count cowher as one then tomlin takes that spot. But yeah there isnt anybody i can think of on our team that will stand up and talk to much though . Hopefully ben steps up.

Thats what im saying though. . look at any one of our players . Not a single one of them is the type to step up and be our team leader .. The only one that i could think of that would is ben but he has to get his act together. But i thought of every name and the only ones that might be the guy to step up would be Ben , Larry Foote, maybe anthony smith someday, but troy would be a great leader if he wanted to be.

Troy will never be a vocal leader, but he already is a leader through actions

hes like a wise monk that everyone knows is right and tries to follow in thier own way

I for one belive he is and will be leading in his own humble way

Ben is the face of the franchise. He's slowly growing into a leadership role he didnt need to occupy until now b/c of guys like Porter and Bettis. Year 4 officially marks the first year of the beginning of his prime so its time he becomes more vocal and hold people accountable.
