I don't know if I would do it if Philly wouldn't give us 31 and 35. Their other second round is the end of the second, so it is almost like a third round rpick to move up 14 spots in round one. Personally, I wouldn't take that, but then again i'm not a GM am I. Maybe we could offer them 17 and Peter Warrick (or Nate Webster) for 31 and 35.

Unfortunately, according to the trade value charts I have seen, 31 + 35 does not equal 17.

I wouldn't mind putting PDub in there although I doubt Philly would be interested in either him or Webster.

The other option would be to swap picks in like the 3rd or something and then get both 31 and 35.

The interesting thing about Philly is that they have a ton of picks and are a very good team. The reality is that they need to trade up because they do not have enough possible roster spots for all their picks.

17 or 31 and 35 mmmmm....... NO! take a great player that you want or go down a little bit and get someone that is still there that you want but not 14 spots! Just wondering does anyone know someone that will be on the draft board that might impact the team at 31 or 35. I like Donte Nicholson or Shazor or even Brimmer.

Bengals.com has reported more rumors:

Dallas may want to move up to 17 from 20 so they can get 2 premiere pass rushers (Merriman AND Ware).

Also, Seattle at 23 might want to move ahead of St Louis to get the tackle they want.

I would love a deal that dropped us back to either spot. (unless Thomas Davis is there at 17 then I'd just take him)

I think trading to the back end of the first with Philly is exactly what we want IF Davis is already gone. The best value is in the 20-50 range, and that trade gives us 3 picks there! If you can move back with Philly and get those two picks, think about what we could get.

31- Chris Spencer, Center
35- Odell Thurman, Linebacker
48- Ernest Shazor, SS

This way we fill our three big needs right away. That allows you to take somebody half a round early as experts would say in the later rounds and not need to find someone because of a big need.

I REALLY LIKE ALL THOSE OPINIONS BUT I THINK WE CAN ALL AGREE THAT IF THOMAS DAVIS IS THERE WE PICK HIM, IF HE IS NOT THERE WE TRADE DOWN.
GO BENGALS!!!!!!!!!!!1
