I'm tempted to say Cowher, but in the end I couldn't: he was a great coach, but it became clear as last season progressed that he was ready to go. Tomlin will give more in 2007 than Cowher would have, IMO.

So I have to say Hartings, because the line is up in the air right now. I'll change my tune, though, if somebody steps up and fills his shoes.

I went with Cowher, but I was looking at his whole 15 years, not just last year....If you look at what Cowher did in his first 5 years here, he set a really high standard for Tomlin to match in his first 5 years...playoffs every year, AFC Champ game by year 3, SB in year 4....

That said, it did seem like Cowher wasn't his best last year, and maybe it's time for a change....I was also a big Noll supporter, skeptical of Cowher at first, but obviously when Noll left it was time for a change, too... Hopefully history will repeat itself.
