I agree with the players you think will go before us...maybe not in that exact order but similar:

1 Aaron Rodgers
2 Ronnie Brown
3 Braylon Edwards (Vikings in Trade)
4 Mike Williams
5 Alex Smith
6 Antrelle Rolle
7 Derrick Johnson (Browns from Vikes)
8 Cadillac Williams

This leaves Shawne Merriman, Pac Man Jones, and Benson....We don't need Benson. The other two are guys we can get later. We need to trade down and pick up a couple more picks. Problem is I don't know if we can find a partner. I don't think anyone will covet the ones left over.

Hopefully we can find a chump trade to middle first pick up a middle second rounder and pick Carlos Rogers, Marcus Spears, or Erasmus James.

Bottom line...we should have lost to the Vikes last year.

Of those individuals, I choose Shawne Merriman. Adam Jones seems like a nice choice, but they can gamble and take a cornerback in the third round. Trading down just seems like the smarter thing to do. If they can get into the second round and get a mid-to-late first round pick whole trading their number nine pick, they can get a quality DE, WR and CB in the first three rounds.

i put a vote in for Pac-Man but i would rather trade down and get a few offensive and defensive linemen.

I love the idea of grabbing merriman at 9 but it just sucks that we wont have a shot at Edwards or Williams. That is what we really need. Greg Williams creates overachievers on defense and we just dont have that on offense.
