question for all the packers fans only since there seems to be a number of vikings fans who can't go a day without knowing what we're thinking.
what do you think is better draft picks or signing FA?
FA are usually "battle tested" you have a pretty good idea as to what these guys can do and if they'll fit into your system or not.
DP have potential but aren't going to be as much of a definate thing. however you have a chance to mold them into what your team needs if they're raw and willing to learn, KGB is a great exampe wasn't he like a 5 or 6 round pick.
would you give up a 2nd round pick for Donavan Darius? he's an intimidating S, ask Fergie. i don't know if we could afford him but i bet we could squeeze him after the draft and signing the rooks. _________________

#1- in a perfect world you use free agency to fill short term holes and the draft for depth, but i would prefer intelligent drafting, free agency is not cap friendly at all.
#2-as long as donovan darius just wants a long term deal then hell yeah pick 'em up, but in this day and age of terrell owens/mike mckenzie type cry babies i don't think it is that cut and dry otherwise jacksonville might have had more luck with a long term deal by now |

true about Darius. i'm not exactly foaming at the mouth for him but he seems like a very disruptive S. _________________

We get Darius, we're going dancing. There's no doubt in my mind about that!
The dude is an awesome safety...his head's always in the game and he seems slightly touched...which is always good for a safety! |

| I must concure about Darius. Picking up a player of his caliber for a 2nd round draft choice is a steal. Green Bay is lacking an intimidating Safety that can lay people out. This cat can do it. |
