The Philadelphia Eagles

Attention
There has already been some confusion as to how the trade process works with this franchise. The process is as follows:
1. ok go26 is the trade negotiator. Only trades negotiated through him are available for consideration.
2. Trades must be confirmed with a 'yes' vote by the Eagles' General Manager (Steegles46), Assistant General Manager (ok go26), and the Head Coach (SuperBowlEagles) before the trade is officially confirmed by the organisation. Any trade not receiving all three 'yes' votes will not be confirmed by the organisation.
3. Only the Eagles' General Manager has the authority to send a PM to a member of the trade council to review a finalised trade. Any trade PMed to the trade council by any other member of the Eagles' staff will not be considered confirmed by the organisation.

I'm sorry for any previous and future confusion.

Statement to All Participants of FFMD07
Made in the Discussion Thread

The best part about the managing the Eagles in FFMD07 is that the organisation has the team in such great shape to begin with we didn't have to make unrealistic moves to make the team competitive. The biggest fault in the Eagles' play this past season was their lack of run-stopping ability. However, injuries (Jevon Kearse, Matt McCoy playing with a stinger) and lack of NFL experience (young DT draftees Mike Patterson, Broderick Bunkley, LaJuan Ramsey) were the main factors in that. By simply letting time pass for healing and gaining NFL experience, the problem largely corrects itself. However, we didn't want to just sit on our duffs, so we re-signed Juqua Thomas and drafted Tim Crowder for depth at DE and signed Rob Morris for experienced linebacker depth.

The emergence of Chris Gocong, coupled with the Morris signing, allows us to move Dhani Jones back to his natural spot at ROLB, where as a Giant he recorded 120 tackles and 3 sacks. This doubly upgrades our linebacking corps. With Stallworth leaving through FA to an eye-popping contract, we signed Andre Davis to replace Stallworth's speed, and are taking a shot on the productive (when not injured) Robert Ferguson. This adds experience to a young and up-and-coming wide receiver corps. As a matter of fact, it turns out that the offense is statistically more productive without Stallworth anyway.*

We didn't do many unrealistic actions in FFMD07. As a matter of fact, I can only think of one: trading up for Griffin. We were given a cap space of $20 million, and finish FFMD07 with a cap space of $18,113,625. We added depth to a team that has the ability to compete in the Super Bowl, and in doing so still left plenty of room in the cap, much like our real counterparts in the Eagles' front office. While there are a couple positions still up in the air, I am posting what the depth chart will be at the start of training camp. So without further ado, I present:

The Philadlephia Eagles Depth Chart

QB - Donovan McNabb/AJ Feeley/Luke McCown
RB - Brian Westbrook/Marcel Shipp/Ryan Moats
FB - Thomas Tapeh

In the games he played, they averaged 371. The Eagles averaged 7.2 yards per play without Stallworth and 5.7 yards per play with him. link

It was a really fun experience, and very time consuming at that.. Laughing

First and foremost, just wanted to say thanks to Steegles46 ok go26, and SBE for running our War Room the same way our Eagles FO runs it, and not becoming laughable like other War Rooms who just wanted to sign anybody and anyone at any price, no matter how unworthy the player was of the contract.

We made some very smart FO-type decisions, (letting Stallworth go for 9,000,000 and signing two players to replace him for a mere 700,000). We drafted for need, but, we also drafted the BPA in the draft, to help improve our team right now, and for the future.

Griffin will become a key cog in our defense for the next decade, and Crowder is our future with Trent Cole, (btw you wrote Nick Cole on the depth chart Wink ). Ben Patrick was the BPA, and his stock is currently on the rise, and it looks like come draft day he'll be considered a STEAL in the spot we drafted him in the FFMD07. Also, with L.J. Smith returning up in the air for next year since he's a FA after this season, we assured ourselves of a young TE prospect, that after a year of learning, will be ready to start, and/or split time with Matt Schobel in a 1a 1b role.

Also, just wanted to shout out my fellow staff members, our O and D coords and every scout that put a lot of work into helping us out. It was a good time, and for the most part, we agreed with what we wanted to add, (Rob Morris, a "big-back", Michael Griffin, another DE, Ben Patrick, a speedy WR, etc..).

First, Great Job to Steegles46, Ok go26, and SuperBowlEagles, you guys did a fantastic and very realistic off-season for the Eagles and I was very impressed of what you guys did.

We made great re-signings like getting back key guys like Mikell, James, and Thomas.

We also fixed our 3rd down running problem by getting Shipp.

Also we got a nice veteran Linebacker to teach Gocong, Rob Morris. I loved this move and it is a very realistic move considering Morris is from BYU.

The Draft was phenomenol, we got the 2 boys from Texas, Griffin and Crowder, and got a nice TE in Ben Patrick who's shotting up the board right now. Great Job Guys.

It has been great working with Steegles46 and Ok go26 and the rest of the staff. This was the first time I participated in a FFMD and I had a great time. My biggest goal was to keep this realistic because that creates the biggest challenge and makes it fun to me. I think we accomplished that and I am happy the way the offseason went. I can't wait until the next one.

Embarassed Yeah, I'm sorry guys. I'll fix it when I get the chance (I still kind of need to make an image for Patrick, too).

I still have to post my whole summary thing, another thing I'll do once I have the time. But I would like to say before this changes any more and makes this theory moot, look at the moves we've made so far. Stallworth, Garcia probably gone. Juqua Thomas probably re-signed. The real life FFMD anyone?

I hope so too. I'm looking forward to seeing the newer crop of posters in action for FFMD07-2.

I still haven't gotten around to posting my summary yet, but I will get around to that on Thursday or Friday, when things here at work calm down. I would like to say though that this has been a phenominal experience. I delegated a lot of extra work to the rest of the staff (especially ok go26 Wink ), and everyone shined above and beyond. We got an eye-popping amount of quality scouting reports up that I enjoyed reading and a steady flow of well-thought analysis and suggestions from everyone. I think we had one of the best performances of FFMD07, and I'm a proud to say that I was a part of it. This was my first and last stint as GM, and you all have made it a memorable and rewarding experience. Thank you everyone, and I can't wait to see FFMD07-2 play out.

Again, thank you all. Applause
