TEXANS FANS ONLY....
Who would be you pick if the draft has gone like this so far....
1. San Fransisco 49ers = Aaron Rodgers, QB Cal
2. Miami Dolphins = Ronnie Brown, RB Auburn
3. Cleveland Browns = Mike Williams, WR USC
4. Chicago Bears = Derrick Johnson, LB Texas
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers = Cadillac Williams, RB Auburn
6. Tennessee Titans = Antrel Rolle, CB Miami
7. Minnesota Vikings = Braylon Edwards, WR Michigan.
8. Arizona Cardinals = Cedric Benson, RB Texas.
9. Washington Redskins = Shawne Merriman, DE/OLB
10. Detroit Lions = Alex Barron, OT Florida State.
11. Dallas Cowboys = Marcus Spears, DE LSU
12. San Diego Chargers = Adam "Pac-Man" Jones, CB West Virginia
Please give top pick, maybe 2nd option. _________________ FF Member #1000

Well i can name some names. In order
WR Troy Williamson- Give Carr another highclass weapon.
CB Carlos Rodgers - Very well could be the pick to be bread as Glenns replacment.
OL Jammal Brown- We have obvious needs on the oline but is brown worth the pick? Addressing OL in round 2 you may get just as much value.
SS Thomas Davis- Coud be a starter right away. |

The top shelf talent at LB, OT, and RB are off the board. If the draft shakes out like this, the Texans will try to trade down.
If that is not an option, I agree with goose.
1. Troy Williamson - Would be a great complement to Andre Johnson. He is big, has good hands, and can flat out fly. He gives good effort as a blocker and will go over the middle.
1a. Carlos Rogers - The Texans need a big corner to cover the guys that D. Robinson is too short to cover. At 6' 1", Rogers can do that. Rogers also has the speed to run with almost any WR which is even more important than ever thanks to the No Contact rules. Finally, in the Texans blitz happy system, the CBs must be able to support the run and Rogers excels there, too.
Rogers is definately a better value than Williamson, but Williamson fills a more pressing need this season. My heart tells me Rogers is the guy, but my head says Williamson. They can't go wrong with either one. |

| I say Carlos Rogers. He is tall and fast and may even be able to step in for Aaron Glenn this year. He put up great numbers at Auburn and may even by the 2nd cornerback off the board and could very well be gone by this point. I think we need to continue adding pieces to that defense. |

I have read and heard rumors that there may be some questions with Pac-man Jones' urine tests from the combine. Kiper is one of those who has also heard it. No one is saying what it is or can confirm it but the rumor is out. He could fall significantly because of it. Just something to think about.
As for the Texans, if the draft falls like mentioned in this thread, they will probably look at Williamson or Rogers if they can't trade down. _________________ Only midgets can rock the Casbah |

I think trading down is the obvious first choice, with Williamson and Rogers following that if it nothing is worked out. _________________

| I agree with that. We have too many needs to warrant reaching for a pick. But if nothing could be worked out, then Williamson and Rogers would be two good ways to go. If we're able to trade down tho, I'd like to see us grab a guy like Demarcus Ware. |

Apparently the rumors that I posted earlier going around about Pac-Man Jones are just that, rumors. _________________ Only midgets can rock the Casbah |
