2007 NFL Mock draft

1. Oakland Raiders – JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU
-Quinn or Russell, they go with Russell.
2. Detroit Lions - Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin
-They wait till next year for a QB, Kitna can battle it out one more year, and its no use drafting a QB if you cant protect him.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
-They could go defense but everyone in Tampa wants C.J. hey you cant blame them.
4. Cleveland Browns - Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
-Quinn and Branch are attractive here but they go with the best player in the draft A.P. will take this team to another level.
5. Arizona Cardinals - Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
-With Thomas off the board they address defense, good value here.
6. Washington Redskins - Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
-It comes down DE or Branch, the Skins go with Branch hoping he can help stop the run and free up their ends to pressure the QB.
7. Minnesota Vikings - Reggie Nelson, DB, Florida
-Jarrett is a possibility but the vikings opt safety to help their aching pass defense.
8. Houston Texans – LaRon Landry, FS, LSU
-They will take a long look at Quinn but Landry is still there, so Landry is the pick.
9. Miami Dolphins - Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame
-Culpepper will start but they need to groom a QB for the future, Quinn is great at number 9, although Okoye will be hard to pass up.
10. Atlanta Falcons - Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas
-With the top two safeties gone, it comes down to Brown and Anderson, Anderson’s potential is too much to pass up.
11. San Francisco 49ers - Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC
-This was a though one, Okoye is of best value here but he doesn’t fit into the niners scheme so jarrett is the pick.
12. Buffalo Bills - Levi Brown, OT, Penn St.
-Brown is great at 12 for the bills, although Willis and Revis are also interesting.
13. St. Louis Rams - Patrick Willis, ILB, Ole Miss
-The player the rams want is there at 13 so they snatch him up.
14. Carolina Panthers – – Lawrence Timmons, LB, Florida St
-All of the players they wanted are gone, so they fill a need at OLB with Timmons and his freakish athleticism.
15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Jarvis Moss, DE/OLB, Florida
-In a 3-4 defense Moss could become a terror in the AFC north for years to come.
16. Green Bay Packers - Marshawn Lynch, RB, California
-The Packs go with BPA who just happens to be a franchise RB at pick 16, the steal of the 1st round at pick 16, the Packs give thought to Ginn but they can’t pass up on Lynch.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars - Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Ohio State
-Wow imagine Ginn and M. Drew returning punts and kickoffs.
18. Cincinnati Bengals - Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville
-Okoye falls drastically, the bangals can’t complain.
19. Tennessee Titans – Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
-The big three WR are all gone so they snatch up the top corner to play opposite of PAC-MAN, griffinn is an option at this pick as well.
20. New York Giants - Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn St
-OLB and CB are their biggest need they fill one of those with Poz.
21. Denver Broncos * - Adam Carriker, DE, Nebraska
-Its DT or DE here the Broncos go with BPA at those two positions.
22. Dallas Cowboys - Justin Blalock, OG/OT, Texas
-The one glaring need in this very complete Dallas team is filled here.
23. Kansas City Chiefs – Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU DeMarcus "Tank" Tyler, DT, NC State
-Bowe’s athleticism appeals to the chiefs who need a playmaking WR desperately.
24. New England Patriots (via Seattle) - Michael Griffin, S, Texas
-Secondary help is on they way with Griffin a solid safety for years to come.
25. New York Jets - Michael Bush, RB, Louisville
-He will battle it out with Lynch to be recognized as the steal of the draft a 1000yrd back if he gets enough carries.
26. Philadelphia Eagles – Brandon Meriweather, S, Miami
-They draft the best safety available.
27. New Orleans Saints – Daymeion Hughes, CB, California
-CB is their top need, so its addressed with this pick.
28. New England Patriots – Sidney Rice, WR, South Carolina
-Rice will not disappoint my favorite college WR for the past years now his game will translate nicely to the NFL.
29. Baltimore Ravens – Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia,
-Adalius Thomas’s departure means a DE/OLB hybrid at this pick Moses is just the man.
30. San Diego Chargers – Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee
-They pick up a good weapon for Rivers.
31. Chicago Bears – Arron Sears, OT, Tennessee
-Miller seems to fit in here yet the bears opt to address their aging OL, typical boring bears pick.
32. Indianapolis Colts - Buster Davis, ILB, Florida St
-DT is an option here with Pitcock and Tyler but the Colts go ILB, there are many options at LB at this pick so take your pick Davis is probably the best of the bunch hence the pick.

you have the vikings going WR in the second, right? Wink

in the first i am okay with going Safety, but i think landry would be better. nelson is a weakness in the rush D

6. Washington Redskins - Alan Branch, DT, Michigan
(completely understand the pick but the redskins need a DE more then a DT)

7. Minnesota Vikings - Reggie Nelson, DB, Florida
(WR or DE)

12. Buffalo Bills - Levi Brown, OT, Penn St.
(never seen this be4)

15. Pittsburgh Steelers - Jarvis Moss, DE/OLB, Florida
(at DE no at OLB yes)

17. Jacksonville Jaguars - Ted Ginn Jr, WR, Ohio State
(jags dont want another 1st round reciever)

19. Tennessee Titans – Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
(big on receivers right now)

25. New York Jets - Michael Bush, RB, Louisville
they want a CB pronto and Michael bush is more of a mid second round)

26. Philadelphia Eagles – Brandon Meriweather, S, Miami
(this is kinda early for him but hey you never know)

29. Baltimore Ravens – Quentin Moses, DE/OLB, Georgia,
(moses has moved way down on team boards like 3-4 rounder)

32. Indianapolis Colts - Buster Davis, ILB, Florida St
(buster davis and david harris are the more recognizable names but trust me teams love Brnadon Siler on all boards he is number 2. Shows potential and growth

That is a very good mock, but i don't like the Jets pick. If we really want him, we can take him with 38 probably

6)Washington-yes but branch will free their DE and alloe them to be more productive and he gets penetration as well.

7)Vikings-there has been a change of thought in minny there are alot of ppl petitioning for S i agree WR,and DE are our biggest need but its about value if we cant trade down this is the pick with the best value.

8)Bills-The bills need O-line help unless they resign their O-lmen they could go CB or LB as well this pick will vary alot depending on who they resign or sign in FA.but the priority is probably-(OL-CB-LB-WR)

15)Steelers-of course he will play OLB in a 3-4 he will serve as both a DE and OLB,

17)Jaguars-are you sure?thats what i thought until i did some research on the jags and found out that they love ginn i mean absolutely love ginn

19)Titans-true but if Jarret or ginn are'nt here then they adress their second priority which is a CB opposite PAC-MAN

25)Jets-you are wrong my friend Bush will climb up the draft board come draft time,he will somplement washington nicely and they want a DE more than CB but there are'nt any DE worth taking here os bush is the pick,CB can be addressed in the second

26)Eagles-S seems the only position that the eagles are willing to draft, t that point he was the best S available, hence the pick, still not a reach in my mind.

29)Baltimore-Moses's talent will lure someone, i think baltimore is that some one unless Thomas is resigned.

32)Colts-this one could go either way, those LB's are all pertty equal

bad giants pick.. Puz is slow, we dont want him, hes not worth the pick at 20, Kiper Jr has him projected as a 3rd rounder.. give us Chris Houston CB Arkansas but if ur gonna give us an OLB give us Rufus Alexander Oklahoma or Jon Beason Miami

not siler, hes a MLB and we already have Pierce and a 1st day pick last year in Wilkinson, give us Beason or Alexander.. or you could have us trade down to 25-29 spot and take Houston while gaining an extra 3rd rounder and take Beason or Everett in the 2nd, and than take Booker and Higgins with the 2 third rounders
