Here is my first mock for 2007.

ROUND ONE
1. Oakland: JaMarcus Russell, QB, LSU: Big QB with big arm for Al
Davis's vertical game.
2. Detroit: Joe Thomas, OT, Wisconsin: Will be tempted to go with
Quinn, but the franchise LT will win out.
3. Cleveland: Brady Quinn, QB, Notre Dame: Frye and Anderson can't
get it done.
4. Tampa Bay: Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech: Calloway isn't
getting younger, and Clayton needs help.
5. Arizona: Jamaal Anderson, DE, Arkansas: Good replacement
for Okeafor.
6. Washington: Alan Branch, DT, Michigan: Griffin needs a good
compliment on the inside.
7. Atlanta(From Min): Leon Hall, CB, Michigan: Will allow them to
switch their first pick from last year, Jimmy Williams, to safety.
8. Houston: Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma: Dominick Williams
might not come back, and they need to make up for passing on Bush.
9. Miami: Amobi Okoye, DT, Louisville: V. Holiday, Traylor, and
Zgonina might be gone, and they are getting old anyway.
10. Minn(from Atl): Dwayne Jarrett, WR, USC: WR is biggest need.
Williamson and Taylor aren't the answer.
11. San Fransisco: LaRon Landry, S, LSU: Niners need to improve
D this offseason, and S is biggest need.
12. Buffalo: Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson: Schoebel could use a
compliment on the other side.
13. St. Louis: Paul Pozluszny, LB, Penn St: Rams looking for a
replacement for Chillar.
14. Carolina: Reggie Nelson, S, Florida: Shaun Williams is only a
short-term solution.
15. Pittsburgh: Marcus McCauley, CB, Fresno St: CB needs an
upgrade with Taylor struggling and Townsend more suited for nickel.
16. Green Bay: Marshawn Lynch, RB, Cal: Ahman Green will be gone.
17. Jacksonville: Ted Ginn, Jr, WR, Ohio St: A big playmaker the
Jags need.
18. Cincinnati: Patrick Willis, MLB, Ole Miss: Odell Thurman will be gone.
19. Tennessee: Darrelle Revis, CB, Pitt: CB is a pressing need.
20. N.Y. Giants: Quinn Pitcock, DT Ohio St. Fred Robbins is not
outstanding, and other DT's leave a lot to be desired.
21. Denver: Michael Griffin, S, Texas: Lynch is getting older, and
Ferguson is just average.
22. Dallas: Justin Blalock, OL, Texas: Cowboys need more help
on O-line, and Blalock can play tackle or guard.
23. Kansas City: Sidney Rice, WR, So. Carolina: WR has been a
problem for Chiefs for several years now.
24. New England(from SEA): Dwayne Bowe, WR, LSU: Will give
Brady the big target he never had at WR.
25. N.Y. Jets: Daymeion Hughes, CB, Cal: Justin Miller has one
foot out the door.
26. Philadelphia: Lawrence Timmons, OLB, Fla. St: Fills a need
with Dhani Jones struggling.
27. New Orleans: Zach Miller, TE, Ariz. St: A star TE is all their
offense is missing.
28. New England: Jarvis Moss, OLB, Florida: Is a pressing need,
especially if Bruschi retires.
29. Baltimore: Levi Brown, OT, Penn St: Can start on right, and
can take LT when Ogden retires.
30. San Diego: Robert Meachem, WR, Tennessee: Some people
might think this is a reach, but WR is a big need. May trade out
of this spot.
31. Chicago: Earl Everett, OLB, Florida: Could need replacement
for Briggs.
32. Indianapolis: Tank Tyler, DT, N.C. St: Nice compliment for
McFarland on the inside.

Great Vikings trade and 1st round pick.
Good 2nd if we don't sign an OG in FA.

please, someone tell me why we are replacing okeafor? I see no point when DE is not in our top 3 proprities. WE NEED OT, OLB, S if joe thomas is not availble we are trading down to pick up landry, poulzinski, or nelson.

He's a WLB, which the Rams have enough of.
Grade: C-
Other options: Nelson, Ginn, Willis

He's been free-falling down the draft boards. He's also probably better suited to be a 3-4 OLB.
Grade: C-
Other options: B. Davis, Merriweather, Abiamiri, Spencer, Kalil

Decent Texans draft. I think they'll go defense, but a starting LT and a dominant RB...you can't really say no to that. Hopefully they'll sign a couple of FAs on defense then.

Terrible Jets draft, you didn't get any of our needs!
Rd 1 - Adam Carikker
Rd 2a. - Ben Grubbs/Anthony Spencer
Rd 2b. - Anthony Spencer/Brian Leonard

JIMMY WILLIAMS IS NOT GOING TO SWITCH TO SAFETY!!! Why woudl we trade up for a guy at a position that we don't need. if anything the trade up woudl be for Adrian Peterson.

we wouldn't pass on Woodley here.

I love our second round pick, but the Giants first rder is wasted.

Not only is Pitcock not 1st rd caliber(he's projected as an early 2nd right now), but the NYG drafted a DT last year named Barry Cofield, and he has developed into being able to take over the 2nd DT position. This wasn't very apparent, since we lost Osi and Strahan for a period of time and forced a DT to play DE in a 4-3.

The Giants would either take Timmons there or Jarvis Moss(hey- look at what happened with Kiwanuka lol) and then maybe get Everett on a reach.

Good overall attempt at a mock tho.

The lions recently signed Jeff Backus to a large deal to play LT so the Thomas pick seems a little unlikely. I'd like to see them address the defensive side of the ball in the first. In the 2nd we need to either grap a guard or a linebacker such as Davis.

montgomery and golston showed some promise for the skins. and we werent great in rush defense, but that was because teams go up on us and then could pound the ball. with a good DE (Jamaal Anderson) we could rush the passer, create turnovers, and give up fewer points
