1. OAK- Jamarcus Russell (Desperate for a QB; although should give Walter another shot with some protection)
2. DET- Brady Quinn (Perfect QB for Martz; intelligent with natural skills)
3. CLE- Adrian Peterson (Reuben Droughns is not a feature back like Peterson)
4. TB- Calvin Johnson (Big time receiver that Gruden wants; Galloway is getting old and Clayton has been a disappointment)
5. ARI- Joe Thomas (Lienart prays they make this pick)
6. WSH- Alan Branch ( Will free up LB's and have instant impact on defense; sure pick)
7. MIN- Dwayne Jarrett (Playmaker they need to help a horrible QB option)
8. HOU- Laron Landry (Texans could use anyone on defense best Safety in the draft)
9. MIA- Gaines Adams (Kevin Carter's age and Taylor's pondering retirement; a must need)
10. ATL- Jamaal Anderson (Falcons remember this name)
11. DEN-Reggie Nelson (From SF for #21 pick and 3rd round next year ;Darrent Williams tragedy makes Nelson a prize so Denver will move up and grab him; has athleticism to play corner as well)
12. BUF- Darelle Revis (Clements will be gone and a need will arise)
13. STL- Patrick Willis ( Will allow Witherspoon to move back outside and create quite a LB corp.)
14. CAR- Paul Poslonsky (With Willis gone and their need for a LB will take the next best)
15. PIT- Levi Brown (Roethlisberger was beat up this year and will demand for this pick)
16. GB- Amobie Okoye ( Ahman Green will leave and they will trade 2nd and 5th round picks for Michael Turner so they address their need to stop the run)
17.JAX- Quentin Moses (Missing that elite pass rusher and Moses could be it, would have gone higher but had some character issues)
18. CIN- Adam Carricker(Justin Smith will leave so Carricker might be a reach right here but they must get DE)
19. TEN- Ted Ginn Jr. (Drew Bennett is a free agent and no other impact receivers on roster and Vince knows Ginn personally)
20. NYG- Leon Hall (Will grab Ahman Green in free agency, so should replace weak secondary)
21. SF (From DEN)- Sidney Rice (Need a playmaking receiver since Antonio Bryant is too inconsistent)
22. DAL- Justin Blalock (A young QB who has trouble hanging onto the ball this pick will help)
23. KC- Tony Ugoh (Another big lineman who has great tangibles)
24. NE- LaMarr Woodley (FItís the 3-4 NE plays; could be a DE or OLB)
25. NYJ- Marshawn Lynch (Washington canít carry the load and Barlow may not be back)
26. PHI- Lawrence Timmons (Adds a starter to average LBís and creates much needed depth)
27. NO- Marcus McCauley ( Much needed replacement on outside for Fred Thomas)
28. NE- Michael Griffin ( Harrison isnít getting any younger or healthier)
29. BAL- Ryan Kalil (Fills a need and has big game experience)
30. SD- Josh Beekham (Impressive combine puts him in the first round)
31. CHI- Greg Olsen (Desmond Clark is too inconsistent and Olsen will be a better blocker as well)
32. IND- H.B. Blades (Sures up one of the weaker spots in their D)

ROUND 2

33. OAK- Zach Miller (Jarrett, Curry, and Miller with Vick throwing; instant offense which is what they need)
34. DET- Daymeion Hughes (Another CB who can play to complement Bly)
35. TB- Charles Johnson(unimpressive pass rush this year, will help return them to a great D)
36. CLE-Quinn Pitcock (First round talent who will slip a little b/c of combine)
37. NYJ-Benn Grubbs (Guard who could play immediately; Mangini/Belichek type guy)
38. ARI- David Harris (Fills a huge need on their defense, allowing Dansby to move back outside)
39. HOU- Michael Bush (First round talent; and a hidden gem in this draft-think Steven Jackson)
40. MIA - Joe Staley ( impact OL who could help them right away)
41. MIN- Robert Meachum (Receiver they desperately need)
42. SF- Eric Weddle (Hard Hitting coverage of Evans)
43. BUF- Jarvis Moss (Can't pass up him)
44. ATL- Aaron Rouse (Safety help for bad secondary)
45. CAR- Brandon Merriweather (Need help at safety; Merriweather has 1st round talent but we all know what happened)
46. PIT- Earl Everett (Fills a need at LB and has toughness to fit Steelers D)
47. GB- Rufus Alexander (Need depth at this position)
48. JAX- Marshal Yanda (Could go LB but need at OT is greater)
49. CIN- Jay Alford (With DE Johnson and DT Alford Cinciís D line will be strong)
50. TEN- Brandon Mebane (Run stuffer type DT)
51. NYG- Michael Johnson (Imposing safety who loves to hit; should fit in nicely)
52. STL- Justin Harrell ( Run stuffing DT the rams need; will free up LB to make plays)
53. DAL- Mike Jones (Improving their O-line with first 2 picks)
54. KC- Jordan Palmer (Big arm, and brother of a NFL QB solid pick)
55. SEA- Josh Wendling (Small school safety who can play with the big boys; excellent in coverage)
56. DEN- Tim Crowder (Will provide a rotation for Shanahan)
57. PHI- Brian Smith (has great talent and all-time sack leader at Mizzou has athleticism to be great OLB; would have been possible first round pick if not for injury this year)
58. NO- Matt Spaeth (Will move Colston to WR next year and Spaeth could start)
59. NYJ- Marcus Thomas (Great year for DTís ; he is another
60. NE- Jarrett Hicks (Troy brown wonít be back so you have Caldwell, Jackson, Ö? Must have pick)
61. BAL- Kenny Irons (RB depth and a change of pace back)
62. STL(From SD for 5th round and 4th round next year)- Eric Wright (Will compete for starting spot but also provides depth)
63. CHI- Jon Beason (Could help if Briggs leaves)
64. TB- Aaron Ross (Juaron Bolden is not a starter)

Quote:
1. ATL- Joe Thomas (From OAK via Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and #1 pick for Michael Vick and #10 pick; should secure LT for years)

AGAIN, This trade has ZERO possibility of happening.

Why would the 49ers do that? Awful trade!

Becoup points for being different.

First and foremost, Sam Baker is returning to USC and is not in the draft.
Secondly: Cap considerations prevent the Vick trade. Nice thought, though.

As for the Jets:

First pick is excellent:
Second pick: While Grubbs fills a major need, the most pressing priority is front seven defense, particularly the pass rush.

The pick there would almost certainly be Moss.

Now to the the 2B pick. Ain't happening. The current regime places a high premium on character individuals, which, by any measure, Thomas ain't. While he fits a glaring need, he is the wrong guy,

Here is an out-of-the-box name: Dan Bazuin. Both he and Moss can be shuttled between DE and 3-4 OLB depending on formation. Otherwise, guard or perhaps WR would be addressed. More likely, the Jets would trade out of that spot to recoup the fourth rounder lost to SF.

Thanks for the effort.

Bad Vikings first pick. JaMarcus Russell will NOT fall that far, and even if he does, the Vikings have to at least give Jackson a shot at starting.

Good second pick.

Also: No way Anderson gets picked before Gaines Adams.

The Eagles drafted Chris Gocong last year to play SAM so they won't take or do they need Timmons.

Rouse is also a bad pick, we are getting rid of michael lewis because he can't cover, that;s also rouse's weakness.

As bad as Tavaris Jackson is, the Vikes think that he is starting material. No Russell there.
