Ok new riddle-
You are given 9 coins that looks exactly the same. 8 of them are made in gold and 1 is false. The false coin is lighter then the others. By using a letter scale, how many tries is the least you need to find the false coin?
don't guess to quickly really think about it..it tricked me... _________________

When you say 8 of them are made in gold do you mean of gold? |

| Well if 8 of them are made in gold they are stuck together and the other one is just laying around so it takes one try to see what one is the lightest |

2, you put one group of three coins on either side of the scale, if they are the same you know the false coin is in the other group of three, and if one group is lighter you know the false coin is in that group. You then put one coin from that group on each side and if they are the same the one you didnt weigh is the false one, if one is lighter you have found your fake. _________________
