It is highly dubious to select the Browns as the first team picking in the draft.
Now tell me how with all that new talent, the Browns end up the worst team in football. |
I feel bad about making the Browns the worst team in football this season. I feel that they are a team on the brink of greatness, especially after adding all of those free agents...it seems like this front office is completely behind the team. The coach is one of my favorites in the NFL.
With all of that being said... Charlie Frye is a huge mistake...he's just not ready yet...and throwing him in will be a huge mistake at this point...a mistake that the Browns are obviously going to try and fail. And All of these Free Agents that were brought in need at least 1/2 a season to really GELL together. This isn't going to be a pretty season for the browns but i think they are 1 or 2 players away from a championship caliber team. Those 2 players are Brady Quinn & Adrian Peterson, unfortunatly they only get to pick 1... and Charlie Weiss will be pushing for his QB. |

Great Packers pick, even though I'm not happy about being #2. IF we were there, I'd love AP. _________________

Ditto ditto.
Two guys I'm really high on for the Eagles are Jeff Samardzija and H.B. Blades, both of which would be good picks. _________________ Sig courtesy d24pick

I think Falcons would take a S... we don't need a UT we need a NT... I honestly doubt Griffin Laundry and Merriweather go that high... 2 safties in the first round is normally what happens even though people project more... good job though... I wouldn't mind having Booker in a Falcons jersy _________________

I like the Eagles pick. I don't nitpick team positioning, as it's all guesswork. The only question I have is that Vince Young is the OROY at QB. I don't think there is a scenerio that is conceivable that would allow that to occur at QB. _________________ Think you know your Eagles? Sign up and try to beat my wife! |

| ReadySetDraft wrote: | Without further ado...With the first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft...
#1. The Cleveland Browns Select ...Brady Quinn, QB Notre Dame
The Browns won't pick #1, and already have Charlie Frye, their QB of the future.
#6. The Tennessee Titans ...Quentin Moses, DE Georgia
They have pro-bowler Kyle Vandenbosch on one end, and have three third-year players on the other side, all of whom were first day picks I believe.
#10. The St. Louis Rams Select ...Gaines Adams, DE, Clemson
He's a top 2 defensive player, and will probably go in the top 6 overall.
#15. The Tampa Bay Buc$ Select ...Antoine Cason, CB, Arizona Jr.
They have two studs at corner already, and have Alan Zemaitis, a future starter who is custom-built for the cover two.
#18. The San Diego Chargers Select ...Justin Blalock OT Texas
They have 24-year-old Shane Olivea manning the right side, who is a borderline pro-bowler. And they spent a second round pick on tackle Marcus McNeil. If Blalock is the pick, he will play OG, which is his more natural position anyways.
#19. The Pittsburg Steelers Select ...Michael Bush RB Louisville
Why so early? They are the favorites to get that #32 pick. Also, even though Bush perfectly fits the Steelers system, they have Willie Parker, last years 1,200 yard runningback. Also, 250+ pound runners have a poor track record in the NFL (See: Dayne, Ron, Duckett, T.J., and, coming soon White Lendale).
#26. The Chicago Bears Select ...Rufus Alexander OLB Oklahoma
They are fine at linebacker. While a trio of Urlacher, Briggs, and Alexander is killer in Madden, it's just unrealistic in the NFL.
The SuperBowl Teams!!!
#31. The New York Giants Select ...Lorenzo Booker RB Florida State
#32. The Kansas City Cheifs Select ...Aaron Rouse SS Virginia Tech
Uh... what? They already have Jerome Woods, Greg Wesley, Sammy Knight, and 2006's Bernard Pollard. Why safety?
Lynch and Brohm and Steve Smith <--- All Stayed in School for another year!
Uh... Steve Smith is a senior, and won't be able to play another year. |
Also, you might want to add a round or some explanations, just to give the reader a little more. _________________ -- Kansas State University, 2013 -- |
