Realistically and w/o any other trades i think the best the vikes could do in the draft would be to draft Derrick Johnson with the number 7 pick and then draft David Pollack with the 18. Hopefully either Marcus Spears, Shawn Merrmian, or Erasmus James falls to us at 18. If Cadillac williams drops to 18 draft him.

Pollack doesnt fit our system at all...hes not athletic, hes not big or overly strong or fast...theres nothing that really stands out about this guy, hes a good player...he might be a safe pick, but he doesnt have the potential to be much better than an consistently very average player in the NFL...a lot of people are projecting him to slip into round 2 now _________________

Superfreak, you should check out my latest mock in the Mock Draft section of this forum. I have Johnson falling to the Vikes at #7 and Cadillac falling to the Vikes at #18 and I think both are realistic. Whether the Vikes would take either of them at the point is conjecture.

If you can get a stud runningback at 18. Take him. We've made some great moves on defense, but our offense isn't the offense that had Carter, Moss, Reed and Smith. Not to mention a line that had 4 pro-bowlers in Stringer, Mcdaniel, Stuessie, and Christy. Other than Culpepper we don't have any stud skill players.

But we have too many RB as it is..... If we could find a way to get rid of smith and Bennet than sure go for him.....I'd love to have just one stud RB. And dude of course we don't have a offense like that one........ That offense was one of if not THE best offense of all time......
