I don't like the thought of it but then that would give us a featured back and tice said he wanted one, this would get our ground game going.
I want to trade Mike Bennett to the Cards for a pick(3rd wouldn't be bad)
Onterrio could also be traded(budsmoker)
Mewelde would be a threat as a receiver so we should keep him.
Moe isn't too bad, i dont know who has seen it but someone suggested moving him to FB and i love the idea. He is a great blocker and can also break tackles on short yardage plays. |

| I don't think that is the best option to choose an RB at 7. If Tice wants a featured back then he needs to pick one and stick with him. It allows whoever he chooses to develop a rhythm. |

i wish we had a need at RB this year...i really like cedric benson, but we dont...the only way i see us taking one is if both top 2 WRs, and DJ are all gone _________________

Heinous. An absoletely horrible idea....
First off, why draft a runningback with Moe, Smith, And Moore? I mean Bennet is pretty much gone, so why not give Moore or Smith a look?
Fact of the matter
Unless Ronnie Brown falls to us, then we shoudlnt take a halfback, and even then its not a good idea at all... _________________

Drafting a kicker or a punter with the #7 pick would be the ONLY thing to make us looking dumber than taking a HB. That is the LAST thing we need. _________________ Equal Opportunity Hater

| Why try to cram in more running backs when we don't have a second starting caliber DE or WR? |

| No way...... As much as I would like to have one of those awesome backs, We already have a few good ones and other holes in the team that need to be tended to. |

I say let's stick with the guys we've got.
Going into last season most Vikes fans felt like RB was a strength - we had two high caliber backs in Bennett and Smith, plus Moe to back them up. Then Mewelde Moore put on a show none of us expected - making us legitimately three deep plus Moe.
Sure, the running game fell apart during the second half of the season, but I blame that more on injuries to Kleinsasser, Moss, Rosenthal, and Birk than I do on lack of ability from the backs. They didn't have any holes to run through!
Rather than spend a top pick on one of the big name backs, we should spend that pick in another area and build a rotation with the guys we've got. |

i agree we shouldn't draft a rb and have plenty of talent to use already. but i feel that we shouldn't be rotating our backs. define a go to guy and use him. |

It sounds like everyone agrees that we need one running back to step up and we can't rotate them. It also seems everyone agrees that Bennett is gone. So which RB is going to start? The one that is one toke away from a year suspension, or the one with zero career touchdowns?
I do think Moore or Smith could be good, but when I look at the top 20 backs in the NFL I don't think of either one. Remember no Viking finished in the top 35 in rushing last year. |

because they rotate, so no one get's a years worth of carries.
i'm happy with either smith or moore, but i think i like smith better because he catches out of the backfield and then turns on the afterburners and gets long runs. remember the dallas game? |
