lol I don't even make mock drafts. Waste of time and brainpower if you ask me. I just wanted to make fun of your thread. Mission accomplished.

Al Davis e-mailed me the other day. He's trading up to #1 overall this upcoming draft to draft Usain Bolt.

That would be better than Dunlap..

I hope you're kidding

And I have a bigger complaint some people are think the Lions are going to get the WR out of Oklahoma State with the 1st round pick haven't we drafted 4 WR's this decade

Laughing guess its time for another one. Only 1 of those 4 is on the team though. And now you actually have a good QB so why not give Stafford more weapons?

What? A Bryant and Johnson combo would be epic with Stafford there.

Would you have taken Crabtree? Because Bryant is a better prospect them him. Not to mention you drafted those others with a different regime.

If they take Dunlap then they would have Dunlap and Seymour on 1st and 2nd down and then move Seymour inside of 3rd down and have Scott on the outside opposite Dunlap

Every football team needs some sort of an offensive Line. what is Dez going to do when Stafford is on his back

Yo RaisinBran. As long as Al Davis is our GM, it will never stop....

I agree, DT and OT have been needs for years and have gone unaddressed in every round, not just the first. We've seen Clady, Monroe, Dorsey and Raji passed over for guys with 4.3 speed. There's no reason to expect that to change.

Until Al proves he can avoid the flashy pick, it's perfectly reasonable to see Mays and Dunlap turning up in mock drafts.

However an argument against Al taking Dunlap could be made. Al has shunned the freakish DEs in recent years, passing on Michael Johnson, Orakpo and Gholston.
Matt Shaughnessy, taken in the 3rd last year, is a sturdy LE, without the measureables you might expect from a Raider.

In fact the only first round DE we've taken in recent memory is Tyler Brayton, who aside from his height was another unspectacular athlete (at least on the AL Davis scale).

Tell Al Davis to stop vetting guys like Dunlap and we will stop. There is a method to the madness

If I would have made a mock that had the Raiders taking a 6th-7th round SS prospect in the 2nd round last season you would have crucified me. If I made a mock that had the Raiders taking the 4th or 5th best receiver in the draft in the top 10 you would have done the same. But low and behold, you drafted both of them. Just remember, bad picks is what makes the Raiders the Raiders.
