Thinking the same. I just made a thread about McNabb and this. He simply is the best in the business at not turning the ball over. In his last ten regular season games since his benching he has thrown only 2 INT. He just doesnt give up the ball, got to love it.

Maybe because 4 of them (Schaub, Manning, Brady, and Roethlisberger) got to play the Titans. Helps pad your stats big time.

Has there EVER been a season where so many QBs had such crazy good TD-INT ratios? It really does speak volumes as to the direction the game is headed, and that kind of depresses me.

Here are just a few of the QBs tearing it up this season stat-wise:

Quarterback: TDs, INTs, QBR
Brady: 15, 4, 100.0
Manning: 15, 4 109.3
Schaub: 16, 7, 100.5
Favre: 16, 3, 106.0
Rivers: 11, 4, 95.9
Roethlisberger: 11, 6, 102.6
Flacco: 12, 5, 95.6
Brees: 16, 6, 107.6
McNabb: 9, 1, 103.2

Discuss.

Its because there is a need to compensate for Jake Delhomme...

or Kurt Warner.

Top in QB Rating and still not getting mentioned. Rodgers has a better TD:INT ratio than all but McNabb. 14 TD, 2 INT.

This isn't about individual QBs, but the growing trend in the NFL of good TD-INT ratios. I'm sure I left out a couple of other QBs with rediculous stats, it's nothing personal.

Well I think it's rediculous that you didn't use one of the best ratios to help prove your point. Anyways, I don't want to derail the thread anymore than it already is, so I'll drop it. Continue....

Instead he uses his QB in Roethlisberger to "prove his point" when he doesn't even have a 2:1 TD INT ratio.

Stop crying just because Rodgers wasnt mentioned.

How can you have a thread about great TD-INT ratios and not include Kyle Orton, who has a great passer rating and the best TD-INT ratio among starting NFL QBs?

If you didn't know, it's 9 TDs and 1 INT. With that interception coming on a hail mary at the end of a half.

It might be because Broncos fans claim he cannot throw the ball downfield totally ignoring his Chicago days when he did it many times. Are some Broncos fans ready to throw him under the bus and beg for Cutler back?

Tom Brady actually has a 25:3 TD to INT ratio. He has 9 uncredited TD passes this season and one of his INTs was actually thrown by Brian Hoyer. Stupid PFF.

I think that has been the point all along.

The competition level in the NFL has been very close since about 1993 when the free agency rules that are still in place were first used (89-92 had slightly different FA rules). This season has been the first in a long time that there have been 7-8 truely terrible teams.

I can't remember a year recenty where there were so many teams going into week 9 that really have no chance to make the playoffs and only have wins because they beat other horrible football teams. Washington, Cleveland, Detroit, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Oakland, Kansas City, Tennessee make 8 very bad football teams. You could probably include 2-3 more bad teams on this list, but those teams would start some huge fights so I won't even bother putting them on here.

For example, in week 8 of the 2007 season you had the Raiders, Jets, Falcons, 49ers, Rams and Dolphins all looking bad after week 8, the Bengals and Vikings also looked pretty bad, but only 2 of those teams finished with less than 4 wins and the Vikings and Bengals both got hot enough to finish with 8 and 7 wins respectivly.

It just seems like the bottom of the NFL hasn't looked this bad in a long time. Although the final records will probably end up similar (6 teams in both 2007 and 2008 with 4 or less wins) it is more a case of a lot of the bad teams playing each other. For example Cleveland plays Oakland, KC, Detroit. Detroit already played Washington and St. Louis. It's just the way things are. But if 4 teams finish with 3 or less wins it would be the first time since at least 1993. I didn't look back any further than that.

There's also a number of bad ones too:

Jake Delhomme (5 to 13)
Jay Cutler (11 to 11)
Kurt Warner (11 to 11)
Derek Anderson (2 to 9)
JaMarcus Russel (2 to 9)

Last two make me want to puke.

And, I disregarded Sanchez (8 to 10) and Stafford (3 to 7) since they're rookies.

I'm waiting for a Titans, Skins, Bucs, or Lions fan to come in and bug. "OMG, YOU DIDN'T MENTION MY TEAMS QB! YOU SUCK!!!! THIS THREAD SUCKS!!!"

Cool

John Fox begs to differ. Because he's super smart. Confused

To answer your question, there have been worse. But the season isn't over. Jake still has a solid shot at putting in a truly legendary performance over the season. He can still catch Jake the Fake!

Jake Plummer- 1999: 52% 9 TDs 24 INTs in ELEVEN starts!

Before last week it was 4:13...

I cant believe he was 8:1 two years ago before he was injured. Damn you John Abraham, damn you.
