There's no such thing as enough young LB's in the NFL. Especially with Lewis.

We really one have two good young LBs(Rivers and Maualuga). Jones is getting up there in age, Jenty are Johnson are decent backups and everyone else stinks. It would be great to have three stud starting LBs.

half a game is pathetic.

but i'm surprised at how against drafting him you guys are...

not sure how i feel about him as a bengal, but part of me thinks the bengals really need a player like this...i mean, ray lewis murdered a man and is a first ballot HOFer. i kid, but only to an extent.
a LB with a mean streak would be great for this team. on the flip, a thug who gets himself into trouble would certainly not be.

i dont care, maybe this will cause him to drop to us. I would take him in a heartbeat, dude is a baller. So he messed up, im confident in our coaching staff to help him mature as a player and person.

At this point, I dont want him. But there are other reasons in addition to this. I think we have bigger needs elsewhere.

However, the way Brandon Spikes handles himself the rest of this season, the way he handles himself in the offseason, and the postseason interviews at the combine and bowl games if he takes part, will be key for him as a prospect. He'll need to prove that this was a one time happening, and that he's matured from it (I think it certainly helps show a bit of his character by going to Urban and telling him that he was sitting the entire game, rather than just one half).

If he's of value at the time we pick and Haden's gone and Lindley isn't of value, I wouldn't be that upset if we took him, as long as he shows that this is a one time happening, and that he has more respect for the game.

I'm with you on this. Plus, as versatile as he and Maulauga could be, imagine the disruption they would cause being able to switch from inside to outside play by play.

This has to be put in perspective. Albert Haynesworth stomped on a guys throat during a game, and 32 teams wanted him when he hit the free agent market.

The more i think about it, the more i think that if he's the best player there, we should take him. Unless of course, he proves his --baggeryness during the offseason. We'll see.

Rivers

Drool

Look, I doubt he will ever do that again. He got caught red handed. I'm sure sometime told him that he would be in prison right now if that dude he eye-fingered was blinded.

Weird thing is, the college football commentators told me that anyone that spends time around Tebow is a better man...so i can't imagine how it happened in the first place.

I thought he spiked his face with his cleat... I could be wrong. Doesnt make it any better by any means. Easily the biggest cheap shot I have ever seen in sports. Its funny no one ever mentions Haynesworth as one of the dirty players of the game.

I take it you haven't seen this then. He's number two on this list so his past transgressions haven't been completely forgotten.

Oh i really don't remember where he stomped. But he is still considered a dirty player. I'm just saying that it's not really mentioned much anymore. The Spikes thing should blow over before draft time.

It will be forgotten by the time the draft gets here, and then we'll draft him and the all of the media will jump all over us for taking a player with such character concerns.
