When Marvin Harrison was in his prime or if you want to say at his best, Was he an incredibly explosive player with tremendous athletic ability? Or was he crafty too? Or was just above average in terms of athletic ability? Like by explosive, I mean the way Andre Johnson and Randy Moss are now. By crafty, I kinda mean Larry Fitzgerald, not really the quickest guy but a very skilled guy.
Just curious, Always been in love with Marvin's game and personality, I want to know more about him. _________________

In his prime, Marvin was quick and crafty, but it depends on your definition of quick. In my opinion, quick and explosive are two different things. Explosiveness is flat out speed. Quickness is being able to make cuts and turns on a dime and getting up to full speed quickly. By that definition, Harrison was definitely quick. On top of that, he was always crafty. He always knew where he needed to be, where the sidelines were, where the first down marker was. He could read the coverage and knew how to manipulate it. _________________

Ya, for the most part, Marvin was never a guy that was going to out run the DB on a straight fly pattern or take a quick in for 50 yards. He was simply one of the smartest WRs who used his amazing quickness and route running skills to essentially dupe the DBs. That is why he could do it for so long so consistently. He never had to rely on pure physical traits to be dominant.
And as for, say, Fitz, i dont know if there is many other people in the league regardless of position that can get as high as him. I'd say thats a pretty nice physical gift to have _________________

Right on with the description of Marvin.
Fitz is actually pretty different though, because he's so darn big and has such leaping ability.
Marvin was just like Reggie is now. Slower than most other starting WRs, smaller than most other starting WRs, very average vertical and burst ...
BUT
Nobody in the league had softer hands. And Nobody in the league ran better routes. Just like Mr. Wayne. _________________
