Good luck guys, don't sleep on our offense though. We now have a QB. Cool

It's Badgers and Packers Week!

On a less cheery note:

Quote:
The Gophers football team received a jolt Monday when coach Tim Brewster announced that senior defensive end Cedric McKinley and sophomore defensive back Tim Dandridge have each been suspended for the next two games due to a violation of team rules and policies.

Expect a close game tomorrow, as they always are against the Badgers. Hopefully, the Gophers will be able to pull it out with what would be their first real good win of the season.

There's always a chance...however slim it might be. If they can keep it close into the 4th quarter, I don't see why not.

Despite the Gophers being physically over-matched, it certainly doesn't help matters either when the officiating crew sucks. Another absolutely terrible call on the pass interference. The Lions don't need the extra help to win.

Thus far, the Gophers have just been awfully poor both offensively and defensively. They haven't been able to move the ball offensively, save for 1 drive and their defense can't get off the field on 3rd down. It doesn't matter if it's 3rd and 3 or 3rd and 13, they give up first down after first down. They can't tackle and they can't cover.

Nice win for the Gophers. Beat Illinois next week and we're bowl eligible.

We'll need that one...on a more somber (almost reflective of the Tice-era Vikings) note:

Quote:
Gophers freshman defensive back Michael Carter was arrested and jailed early Monday morning after being charged with obstructing the legal process and consumption by a minor.

After going so long without visiting FF, it makes me proud to sign on and see a thread that I created still going strong. A tear to my eye.

It was nice to see Weber finally find a groove, knowing he had to actually make more than one read must have help straighten out his head a little. And most importantly, the line actually looking like a Big 10 line helped a lot.

We have a couple must wins against Illinois and SDSU, because [as much as it kills me to admit it] the Iowa game is looking like a L. Taking our next two would put us at 7-5, in good position for a bowl.

It's good to see you back too, viks_fan! I've kept it alive as long as I have been able to, although it appears that most of the time I've been posting only for myself. Laughing

Keep the faith though, Iowa will fold like a cheap suit at Kinnick. Wink

Oh, I fondly remember the days when I was the only one posting in here. Or, it felt like it, at least.

And let's hope so about Iowa, they just seem like a garbage team yet they continue to win games.
