You should try, cuz i'm sick of hearing about this kid and then not being able to see him play. _________________

Goto Youtube search coach lou tepper show. Watch the video from october 12th. the link is below.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XIWem6CLE-s
Start watching the video from 5:33-7:01. Pay attention to the punt return. It's awesome. Then skip ahead to 11:09-11:35 to watch another return. Finally skip to 15:08 to listen to the audio on the punt return so you can hear how we lifted the team and the crowd with that return.
The scout.com article is the best information fans will have their hands on. I want to clear up some incorrect statements. He started playing football in the 8th grade. His family is from Ghana (West Africa) He was born in Gainesville, Florida but grew up in Columbus Ohio. He's playing DII ball simply because of bad recruiting. Schools either overlooked him cause he played at a small city school or they didn't think he was a DI player.
This kid is the real deal. Don't knock a guy cause you haven't heard of his school before or he has a different name. Skills are skills period. No matter where they are. The sky is the limit for this kid. I see his stock rising even higher come senior bowl and combine time.

Can somebody explain this and why they have a football team? |
It's a college located in the town of Indiana, Pennsylvania. It's actually a decently large university, like 12,000 students. There is also a California University of Pennsylvania. |
I GO THERE!
D2 schools. IUP and CAL U are serious rivals.
CAL U has been in the final 4 for the D2 national title the last two years.
I cant believe this dude is getting recognition, Im stoked! Im looking into meeting him actually. Im going to try to speak with him and interview him in the hopes of doing a piece on him for my journalism class.
I'll post the piece I write if I get to interview him _________________

I love seeing the small-school prospects come out every year. This guy could really make himself some money if he does well at workouts....his return skills will only help him..
also, IUP stands for "I Usually Party," for those who have hung out there... _________________ Pittsburgh Steelers/Notre Dame/Washington Nationals/whatever team Iverson plays for now/Ricky Williams are the best. |

I just got off the phone with Lou Tepper, head coach of IUP.
He said that this kid had scouts from the NFL come in and time him.
He has been clocked under 4.40 in the 40
Tepper says that the most impressive part is his awareness. he loves how smart akwasi is and his recovery speed as a DB. he's apparently being looked at as a safety as well. he's also said to be a great hitter and rarely misses on his tackles.
Im actually going to interview him tomorrow or thursday
ill post more details when i do _________________

Reports I have seen say CB/FS. The way the IUP D operates is usually in a 3 deep zone which has AOA essentially operating as an NFL FS usually does.
Cannot wait for the interview. _________________

Your information is totally wrong. Did you not read my previous post about Akwasi Owusu-Ansah?He was born in Gainesville, Florida. Yes his family is from Ghana but he was born in the U.S. Did you read the scout.com article? Also his father is not a professor at Ohio State. His father received his Masters from OSU but is not professor there. Where do you get your information from?

I think that in a weak class of cornerbacks like this one could be, he has a chance to be a surprise first round pick. Has measurables, attitude and a great head on his shoulders.
I really like him. I had a highlight tape, but I lost it; I'm trying to find it again. _________________

According to DemYankees, he's hurt right now. Looking for more information as we speak. _________________

Matthew Burglund, The Indiana Gazette:
| Quote: | | IUP cornerback Akwasi Owusu-Ansah left the 34-32 win over Kutztown in the third quarter with a shoulder injury (dislocated left shoulder) and did not return. He was reportedly taken to a local hospital for treatment. A scout for the NFL's Green Bay Packers was on hand to watch Owusu-Ansah, who has scored five special teams touchdowns this season on returns. |

I hate to sound coarse, but a shoulder injury isn't as bad as, say, a leg or wrist injury.
A dislocated shoulder stinks, but it isn't a huge deal. _________________
