First off let me say this draft isn't filled with star power. To me this draft is probably the worst in years for the position we're looking for the most in cornerback. I looked up players and I found the best ones for each pick.
Round 1 picking anywhere from (20-25) - WR Marshwan Gilyard, Cincinatti
Round 2 - CB Brandon Ghee, Wake Forest
Round 3 - DT Jeff Owens, Georgia
Round 4 - T Ed Wang, Virginia Tech
Round 5 - TE Tony Moeaki, Iowa
Round 6 - K Leigh Tiffin, Alabama
Round 7 - WR Seyi Ajirotutu, Fresno State
Criticize please

I don't follow College football that much, but I'd prefer the Ravens to start building a receiving corps that was big and physical and a mismatch for any team (much like the Chargers, although I know they are an exceptionally huge group) and would like them to start this draft, maybe first round. I like WR in your mock 1st round but not the player. I like the CB in the second round. A bigger guy like him (or even better Dowling, even if we have to trade up) would be great for this team. Haven't ever heard of the other players on the list, showing my immense knowledge of College football so will stop my critique there. _________________

Since you said you don't follow college football that much, you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. How can't you like Mr. Gilyard? Look at this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76tzDrkTXz0
Just because hes a small receiver doesn't mean he can't go after the ball. 6'1 is bigger than Mason and Clayton so he brings speed and size to this team. |

Ok, he looked pretty awsome in that video, and looks like he will be a good receiver, but i stand by the fact that I think we would be better with a bigger receiving group. But thats just my preference.
Just out of curiosity, who would you compare Marshwan Gilyard to in the NFL today? _________________

I've heard alot of people comparing him as the next 'DeSean Jackson' because of his speed but I see a little Santonio Holmes in him. Runs good routes, good hands, and about the same size. |

Not bad. I've been a fan of Gilyard for awhile and wouldn't mind having him. I also like Dez Bryant.
Gilyard is also a very kind person. I've had a chance to see him in person a year ago and he was very nice to the fans. If you haven't seen

(its the video of him giving a kid a hug after he ran into him.) _________________

Unless an elite receiver falls to us, I don't want to pick an offensive player in the first this year. Correct me if I'm wrong, but there are some really athletic pass rushers coming out this year. We need to draft some impact defensive players early on this year _________________

I whole heartedly agree. We've taken offense players in the first 4 of the last 5 years, and it's really paid off as we now have a top 5 quality offense, hopefully for years to come. Time to turn our focus back to building an elite defense with some good young talent. _________________

The players I like for us in round 1 are Joe Haden, Rolando McClain, Dez Bryant, Jerry Hughes and Eric Norwood. I am also very high on Golden Tate right now and we hopefully can get pick him up because Flacco + Rice and Tate= _________________ Baltimore Ravens

| I really like Gilyard but unless he has a great combine then he is projected second round and he could add some more bulk to his frame. This years receiving class is very good so it it would be hard for him to crack the first round. |

Hey, you already know I love your mock with that first round pick!
And it's not just talent that makes Gilyard such an appetizing prospect, if you look at character, he is easily one of the top, if not top character guys in the entire draft.

As someone who's been following Gilyard for the past few years and highly open to the idea of the Ravens drafting him, I think the best NFL comparison that can be made is actually a combination of Reggie Wayne and Santana Moss. Surely he could stand to gain some weight, but a good NFL weight training and conditioning program can easily take care of that. _________________

I'm pretty sure they're not going to make a movie about Gilyard hugging a kid...but nice try _________________
