if they did indeed sign fisk it's a interesting move. In a 3-4 he's a bit of a tweener which is good for depth if he can play both. he is slightly more suited to play NT in the 3-4. I hope this dont mean we are not looking at Hovan now. well see how the dollars look.

Forget Hovan....I hope this doesn't mean we r not gonna sign Douglas now.... I would rather have Douglas than Fisk.

Douglas plays end.

Fisk is a NT.

He played there for San Diego's 3-4.

This shouldn't stop our pursuit of Marques.

Marques qould be a good pick up for you guys. Hes a high energy player who plays at a higher level than he should be able to. Depending on ypur scheme he could be a very solid addition to the 3-4. For my ravens he was a little undersized for his LB protection duties. I like him a lot and i hope that hes good for u guys.

upon further review, all the charger fans think the pick up of Fisk is wrong. they say he isn't strong enough to play NT but may be an alright DE. So I think we should have signed Hartwell and Douglas , then if we had any money left, maybe pursued him. This is in my eyes the first so-so call and managements call.

I don't think they are thinking they solved the NT problem.

Fisk was a backup in San Diego, and will most likely spell whoever they settle on at NT eventually. However, he's the best nose guard we have at the time.

Grantham, in his press conference, said he likes his linemen to be able to play every position, so maybe he will also be used at end.

He is no more than a stopgap in the middle, though. I don't think they paid him starter money, so there aren't lofty expectations. It's good that they got someone with 3-4 experience on the line to help everyone else with the transition.
