Round 1: Robert McCune/ILB/Louisville
- Youth is a big need at the LB position and even though Bruschi is going to play again (according to Ty Law) we still need a young stud up the middle. When Johnson calls it quited McCune will come in and develop. I would like Kirk Morrison but it might be a reach to take him in round 1. McCune seems like a Patriot guy by showing leadership in kuwait and on the field.
Round 2: Mark Bradley/WR/Oklahoma
- This pick is going by this: I think Brown will not be back and we all know Bethel Johnson is not ready for a # 3 WR fit. Terrence Murphy will be gone by then and I think Bradley is a very good fit here. He is tall and a very nice guy (from what I heard). He ran a great 40 time in 4.40 and he can catch anything. He will be a very good # 3 WR for this team. This pick will change if we sign David Terrell or Travis Taylor.
Round 4: Scott Young/OG/B.Y.U
- I wouldn't mind a guy who can bench 245/43 times! After losing Andruzzi an OG would be nice, I doubt Young would start any time soon maybe in 2 years but this pick will give us depth and a guy who can carry and bully around any D line man.
Round 5: Alphonso Hodge/CB/Miami (OH)
- We did trade for Duane Starks and bringing in another CB would be smart. Hodge could be a steal and this move will allow us to cut Tyrone Poole and start Starks and Samuel and have Gay and Hodge has 3-4 CBs. That looks good to me.
Round 6: Justin Geisinger/OT/Vanderbilt
- Justin is very smart and that might be the only reason we pick him here. Bill and Scott love smart players and this is one of them. Also OT is a need to had depth.
Round 7: Jared Allen/QB/Florida Atlantic
- Give this guy a chance. Davey could be gone and if Brady gets hurt I wouldn't want Chris Redman backing him up, I would rather have Jared Allen than Redman. _________________

Not too hot on McCune or Bradley at their spots.
McCune is solid, but he's not a first round candidate. He's a bigger reach at that point than Morrison would be. He's a late second round type.
There are better WR options available in the second than Mark Bradley, and I actually think I like him a bit more than most. But in the second, its a bit of a reach IMO.
Since those are our two important picks, Id be disappointed if that draft played out that way. |

| I like all of those picks because its very sensible. Every need is addressed in what I think is the right order. LB then WR then OL then DB |

I don't think Gibson will be there in round 2 and Drafting 2 WR's in the Draft would be dumb. All's we need is one more WR. _________________

all we need if for the top 2 wrs to go down. That would leave us Johnson and Sam. 2 Wrs would not be dumb as we lost 2 proven recivers. |
