This is a hard one. Ben played great for the most part, but had 2 bonehead plays.
Im gonna go with Ward. All of them are worthy, but Ward is playing better than ever. Shouldve had 2, but whatever. _________________

Honorable mentions to Ben and Timmons.
A 400 yard passing game always deserves praise, but he made a few poor plays like the fumble and INT - though you know your QB is good when he throws for 400 yards and you didn't think he played THAT well.
Also, the bust Lawrence Timmons had 2 strip sacks, though he still doesn't shed blockers as well as he should... |

Definitely improving though. I saw him get off of two blocks today that wouldve owned him last year. _________________

| I voted for Troy...I know he didn't have that much of an impact (playmaking wise) in the second half, but he seemed to have a calming effect on the secondary...except for Ike but I won't share my thoughts on that. Don't want to start WW#, figuratively speaking of course. |

I agree. That statement was actually bad sarcasm on my part. Timmons had another great stuff on Lewis for a loss early in the game. He is developing into a great playmaker. |

Timmons was impressive. He deserves one for just defense alone. Great game by him and his block shedding is improving at a great margin.
I wanted to say Ben, but Ward showed the haters what's up. He shouldve had 2 TD's and I believe would've been over 170 yards

Ward is really stepping up, letting Holmes know he doesn't got his spot. _________________

Santonio: "Hey Hines...thats my ball!"
Hines: *Smiling* "Meet me in the endzone...we'll discuss it there."

I sure hope they replay the game on NFL N this week. I was at the Vikes game so wasn't able to head to the bar to watch the Steelers play, and wasn't on TV here so couldn't record it. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the stats sheet today.
So I do have a few questions here. First off, were his sacks the result of coming unblocked as usual, or did he actually beat a blocker to get them? On BOTH sacks he forced fumbles? That right there is impressive, and Silverback-esque. And someone said he actually stuffed a RB in the hole for a loss? Dayum if that's accurate. Maybe there is hope, even though it is the Clowns lol. _________________

This is a tough one going by stats only and the writeup on Nfl.com's gamecenter. Sounds like Ward dropped a TD. Ben had huge #s, and should've had 3 TDs as a result too, but the INT and fumble. Rashard had a fumble. Troy only had 1 INT and little else statistically. Timmons may have had the best game, if it wasn't just coming untouched via the scheme. I still voted for Ben though as he is now the NFL's leading passer, and 400+ yards and 3 TDs (should've been) is pretty huge. How bad was his INT and fumble? _________________

Big Ben continues to keep teams in the game with costly turnovers. If he doesn't cut down or play more efficient when it comes to ball security the Steelers are going find teams hanging around longer then they should.
Lions
Bengals
Bears
Titans
Chargers
Browns
All these teams should have been put to bed early, but a costly INT kept all these teams in the game. _________________
