they do what Minnesota did the past 2 years and let their time expire and let Miami take Brown or Benson Cleveland take whoever then draft Rodgers? that way we still get our guy and not have to pay him top pick money. |

Because we'd still have to pay top pick money. When Minnesota let their pick at 7 go by and waited till slot 9 to draft Kevin Williams, they still ended up paying him #7 dollars. The agents will obviously demand that the player taken be payed as the #1 pick because he was taken by the team with that choice. _________________

I see what your sayin, sort of the way Phillip Rivers held out because he wanted #1 pick money when he was actually drafted 4th but traded for the #1 pick |
