I'm not always a conspiracy theorist but I have some suspicions about his girl. The defensive wounds on his hands, the two stab wounds and her unwillingness to talk to authorities makes me think she did it. But the way he romanticized heroin and suicide, I don't know.

the re-release of kings crossing with his mom and his girl saying 'because we love you' behind 'give me one good reason not to do it' is so eerie.

I haven't heard this, when was it released? GF totally killed him too. So sad...

Love #2 but KC still gives me chills every time I hear it, one of my favorites. Rumor has it that he recorded the album version of KC the day before he died, crazy.

Wow never noticed that before but I just listened to it again. Makes an already moving song just that much more amazing. That was the first Elliott Smith song I had ever heard and is still may fav. Others are Waltz #2, Between the Bars, Alemeda, The Biggest Lie, LA, Whatever (Folk Song in C), and many others of course. Such an amaziing musician...
