I am starting to think that we might be playing more of a 4-3 next year. Look at this hypothetical depth chart.
RE - Bailey/Green
RT - Seymour
NT - Wilfork/Traylor
LE - Warren
ROLB - Vrabel
MLB - Bruschi
LOLB - Colvin/McGinest
If we DO make the switch I would love to draft Kevin Burnett at pick 64...McGinest will most likely move back to DE and Burnett will back up Colvin and Vrabel...
Your thoughts? That would be a devastating line up...Starks, Poole, Harrison, and Wilson are a solid group with Samuel, Gay, Scott, and Reid filling in... _________________

Dude...you have our 4 best LB's all plugged in there... why wouldn't we just stay with the 3-4.
I would rather have Colvin and/or McGinest both on the field over having Green or Bailey out there.
And man...i'd start Gay and Samual over Starks and Poole. The only way i'd play on of the older guys is if they really should that they were better in training camp. But Samual and Gay had great years and i totally have faith in them.
I can't wait to see Gay next year... i think if he adds 10-12 pounds in the off-season he could grow into a physical corner like Ty was. He has the frame to grow into that size. On NFL.com hes listed a 5'11 , 186lbs. But i've seen him at 6'0 in places. If he could get up to 195-200lbs. I think he could really become a great corner. Hey, hes got the "chip on the Shoulder" tom always talks about. _________________

Ok I am just throwing out ideas here...like your Alex Smith to CLE thread in the Browns forum...
how about this
RE - McGinest, Green
RT - Seymour, Klecko
NT - Wilfork, Traylor
LE - Warren, Bailey
ROLB - Vrabel, TBC
MLB - Bruschi, Johnson, Klecko
LOLB - Colvin, Burnett
In the superbowl we did not use the 3-4. Due in part to the lack of effort to get Bell(KC) or Hartwell, I believe we might make a switch to a hybrid 3-4 4-3. Kind of like what BALT is doing next season...Terrell Suggs at DE... _________________

A hybrid....sounds like something Bill would do doesnt it? Yeah, it could work, we could spot in alot of 4-3 plays in there...
And our guys are smart enough to learn two deffences _________________

I can see it now...
Willie going down like a DE, then stepping off before the snap and rush him in hard...sweet _________________
